From the moment we arrived, this modern bed and “breakfast” near Oban completely wowed us. The setting is stunning — perched right by the loch, with views that honestly look like something out of a postcard. We had car trouble, and Karen waited late to greet us. A full bar, snacks and water was just what we needed after a long drive. The food was absolutely exceptional — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in every dish. A special shoutout goes to Karen, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and friendly presence made a real difference — she’s a gem. If you’re visiting the Oban area and want something stylish, comfortable, clean and unforgettable, this place ticks every box. We’re already planning our next trip back.

Husband & I stayed in the Dunstaffnage room. It was amazing the view is like an oil painting & all the luxury touches make you feel pampered. We added another night on to our three nights already booked because we didn’t want to leave. The breakfast, sparkle station, bar & evening menu are well thought out & truly 5*. Stay here you won’t regret it but book directly for best price & extras.

Had a lovely stay at Ardtorna, Karen was a great host and organising breakfast for us slightly earlier one morning was no trouble at all. Brilliant views and a beautiful room, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Despite the weather, I managed to enjoy the private balcony which was an added bonus, would recommend a stay here!

Ardtorna B&B is located in a scenic and peaceful area only a short drive from Oban. The accommodation is beautiful with first class service from the owner Karen who is very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast selection is amazing and by far the best that my wife and I have experienced. Would highly recommend and cant wait to return.

We had a fantastic stay in self catering Ardcreran. Karen has thought of everything and the views are absolutely stunning. We had breakfast on the day we were leaving which was delicious. We all slept very well, it is very peaceful. What an amazing break.

From driving up the lane to Ardtorna to driving back out 2 days later, the only way to describe our stay was perfection! Karen is an amazing host and you can feel the love she has for her B&B through every thing she has done to the property and what she continues to do on a daily basis, nothing is too much trouble, if you require fresh milk just ask, if you need advice for the local area Karen has endless knowledge and knows the best restaurants and places to visit. We traveled to Scotland in an electric vehicle, not expecting to see a car charger on site we were pleasantly surprised, it was so easy to use, a quick word with Karen and the charger was switched on and ready to go, Karen has an app which told her exactly how much we used and the cost was added to our bill. (2 chargers on site, we charged over night both evenings) Our room was stunning and very comfortable, the little touches to the decor and equipment added a touch of elegance to the room, the wi-if wasn’t amazing but the area of outstanding beauty and its location means there has to be a small negative somewhere, but this wasn’t an issue, I used the living room to make a call and didn’t struggle to speak to my Granddaughter back home. The treats in the corridor, the coffee station and honesty book at the bar with an endless choice of drinks all adds to the luxury of this beautiful B&B. Breakfasts was very good with quality ingredients and lots of choice, something for everyone and yet again Karen couldn’t do enough for her guests. I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay in the Oban area, we found the location to be excellent for exploring our first few days in Scotland.
