We were very lucky to have been accommodated at last minute due to a cancellation for a single night to visit a friend in the area. The house was easy to find, with plentiful parking off the road. Our host was warm, welcoming, an absolute delight to meet and helpful with suggestions of places to visit on our brief trip. We were very impressed with how spacious the hallways and rooms were, the ground floor layout being perfect for those with mobility issues. All night was wonderfully quiet although we found the double bed a bit small for us so if we had stayed a second night I would have moved onto the additional single bed in the room. Hot breakfast options were appreciated. Ann is very generous with her time to all guests ensuring all have a pleasant stay.

We stayed for a few nights as it was close to family and you will go a long way to find a better B&B , Anne and Martins hospitality is second to none they really go the extra mile which is a refreshing change in todays world. Be warned you will need to join Slimming World after Annes cooked breakfast which are delicious and well presented, room and en suite are first class and I think you will find its reasonably priced for the service provided. I would highly recommend a stay here as it's also close to the town centre for all your requirements, all in all a great place...go on give it a try.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Whitethorn Lodge. Anne was a marvelous hostess, who provided delightful conversation and helpful insights on our visit to the area. She even helped us find a doctor when we needed one and made connections for us in our search for family links in the surrounding towns. The room was very comfortable, with a delicious breakfast made to our liking. As our fellow guest described it, this place is magic!

The beds are firm and so comfortable, also the linen felt very good quality. The rooms are spacious and good amount of storage. They are cleaned daily . Bathroom large wheelchair friendly Good choices for breakfast, fruit, cereals, toast full cooked Irish breakfast, as an alternative we had the most delicious porridge one day. Anne the owner was an encyclopedia of knowledge for places to visit. Absolutely fabulous stay and looking forward to when we go back again next year

Excellent hostess. She was very warm and inviting. Also, she was knowledgeable and helpful about Ireland. The room and bathroom were very clean as well as handicapped accessible. She and her husband run the B&B and I highly recommend them.

We spent almost 3 weeks touring Eire and this was the best of many BnBs we stayed in. The place was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable with soft pillows. The bathroom actually had enough space to turn around in. Breakfast was very good. But the best was the host: AnneO’Connor. She was a delight. She searched for and found us our nextBnB and phoned to book it for us. She made us feel like family.

A nice, tidy warm and CLEAN place to rest after a long day of travel and departing the ferry. Our hostess was super nice and helpful. And what a view! If you are going to arrive late, bring food. You can prepare it there and there’s not much for choices to stock up.

What a stay! Such a beautiful home and warm welcome! Our room was fabulous with the most comfortable bed and it was impeccably clean. Breakfast was simply first class - made fresh and cooked perfectly it was delicious Our host was a gentleman and we had great conversations with him! We will definitely return and recommend to others!! Well done!!!

Stayed in the purple room and was welcomed with coffees and teas in the room. It was spacious and comfortable, with a TV and a gorgeous view of sheep and meadows out the windows. We all slept super well, and the price was very reasonable. The hosts were lovely, and cooked the best breakfast we had throughout our weeklong stay in Ireland. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer!
