Tilghman Beach and Golf Resort

From beginning to end our 2 week getaway was a nightmare. Upon arriving there were many guests staying for overnight or 2 day stays. More like hotel space rather than condo rental stay. Got into bed that night only to find sand which meant sheets were not changed. The second day there was no hot water in the building for 2 days. It was very cold in Myrtle Beach...in 40's. We were freezing and found out the owner locked out the thermostat at 73 but it would not ignite the system at any setting. Maintenance called the HVAC company that came and said nothing was wrong. We went on a few more days without heat then the furnace started making a loud racket noise. Called maintenance again...then HVAC. Again...nothing wrong they say. After 9 days of noise and heat control problems we were sitting having morning coffee and the smoke alarm goes off and we smell burning. HVAC comes and tells us the motor is shot and we have to leave. 3 days left to vacation!!! They showed us other sub-standard available condos. Finally they put us in a comparable Diamond Condo 6 floors up. We are retired and were looking forward to a pleasant vacation.....never again!!!!!!

or X, trip advisor, Was told only after arriving that it was required to consent to allow them to make and keep a copy of drivers license. No mention of this on their website or in their terms of service when booking. No privacy policy. No written details of efforts made to safeguard personal information. Only seemingly made up verbal assurances from the desk clerk. 25% cancellation fee. Walk and they keep some of your money. Identify theft can be an expensive, time consuming hassle. Be careful, and spend your money where your identity is respected and protected. Somewhere else.

Room #1202 is being advertised as a "3 Bedroom Ocean View Platinum Luxury Suite". This is NOT a luxury suite. The living room TV is broken. There is junk in all 3 bedroom closets, including paint cans and leftover wood flooring. The master bedroom only has one night table. One bedroom is small with an oversize bed about four inches from the closet door. The mattresses have a hard edge and are uncomfortable. Plus, there are two full-size refrigerators (one in the kitchen and one in the dining room next to the master bedroom doorway). According to the staff, the owner has no plans to remove the second refrigerator and the general manager was not very accommodating after I explained the issues in #1202 and he failed to follow up with us during our multi-night stay. As a long-term guest for the past 12 years, it saddens me to watch the Tilghman Resort suites get worse every stay. The negatives have exceeded the positives. If I happen to return, I will update this review.

We have been staying at tilghman for many years noe. This hotel has new management. The staff was rude. Never showed any hospitality. Never greeted us when we entered the lobby area. A Never good morning good evening greeting was made. Other customers complained as well. This has never happened in the past. Hospitality has went down the pipe. We even knew the old staff's names that's the relationship they built with customers. When entering the building I knew something was off. Remember...the first impression is always the last impression. Do better.

Our family of eight adults stayed in a three bedroom unit on the 6th floor facing the ocean. The unit is large enough, with shower in the 3rd bedroom as a bonus. Kitchen was well appointed and bathroom water pressure and temperature better than most places. The grounds have lots to do with two pools and two hot tubs, along with lazy river. Just cross the street and you are at the beach. I'd stay here again.
