Hotel Bintang 4 New Taipei City Populer

A supposedly 4 star hotel that delivers the bare minimum. Nothing to shout about, had an unobjectionable stay here in January this year and was happy with the location and relatively clean room so decided to book again for 5 nights for my recent trip. Regretted my decision as I felt that the service was lackluster. Upon entering the room we saw that the double bed was made up by 2 twin beds unlike our initial experience so we approached the front desk to enquire if a change was possible as we do not like the feel of the gap between the beds and the light switches were behind our pillows making the lights on/off if we were to even lightly lean on the headboard. The answer we got was that we should have indicated that request upon check in and it is a common process for hotels to join 2 twin beds and sell them as a double room. The front desk manager also said the check in rate was 98% that night. We then asked if we could have a change the next day and the reply was to come down and check again tmr. No effort to assist and instead all we felt was him trying the shift the blame to us when all we requested was a double bed when it is available. That left an extremely sour taste in our mouth. The next morning, I woke up with red bites on my arms, legs and torso, however my partner didn't had any so I did not relate it to the cleanliness of the room. The next 2 morning remained to be the same and we requested a change of room which we were given. The itchiness subsided after the change. The staff also passed a cream for itchness to me. But she mentioned it may be mosquito bites which I can tell it isn't as they are in clusters. Location was convenient for us as it is near the banqiao transfer station and there are food choices around the hotel as well as a few family marts.

Location is not far from Metro and Taipei... Must take taxi to get Metro and then ~25 mins to get downtown 101 area. Hotel WiFi works well at ~ 27-28 Mbps steady and Ethernet port works. Building seems to have a lot of concrete and was hard to find room and areas in room, bwhere I could also use a SIM card hotspot signal that was fast enough (as a back up in event hotel WiFi failed). Surrounding areas, not too much. But business park and Starbucks and Family Mart in North East 5-12 mins walk from hotel. Staff very courteous and helpful. Room very nice. Heaters in each room. Quiet. Windows are think and don't open. Hope this helps others

Room is spacious and clean. Shower room and toilet are separate. Staff are polite and helpful. We arrived late in the afternoon at 5pm and were recommended to have food at the next building's restaurant, which were special and delicious. Walking distance to train station is about 10 to 13 minutes, which is reasonable. We also tried the sandwiches and coffee breakfast downstairs before departure. We really enjoyed our stay 4 nights there!

For hotels in the Yangmingshan area, the natural environment is quite first-class. The staff's service attitude is also very good and they are very enthusiastic to help. Especially the uncle who greeted us when we arrived. He was very enthusiastic about introducing what Yangmingshan and Jinshan have to offer. The special place and introduction feel very friendly. The room is very large, and the semi-open hot spring room is simply top-notch.

Grand Forward is a good place to stay Location is cool, 1 minute proximity to MRT station. Just through the entrance near reception and turn left. Night market is just 5 minutes walk away. Turn right after main entrance. Street games and dinner. Supermarket and traditional market nearby... can search for Nanxing Market.. good fruits and veggies for the soul and body Breakfast place is turn left after the other entrance. An old black and grey dog lives there. Yummy radish cake LuobaGao and fried egg.. milk tea also.. bring your own plate cup and utensil for a carefree breakfast best stay for a local taipei getaway will try the running route next time ~

The view of the room is very beautiful, full sea view as we are staying at the top floor. The room is very spacious. The bedding is ok but a bit soft for me. The bathroom is good and the pressure of the water is very stable and the temperature of the hot water is good. The location of the hotel is a bit far away from the city but very close to the subway. If you want to visit Tamtsui, it is one of the good choice. The management should improve the cleanliness of the room, but compared with the price, it is okay for me to come again.

The location was great for me. This new Taipei area is less noisy. Close to a big mall. Five minutes walk. I was on the 25th floor, which was great view. I love the floor to ceiling window.

Great option in Taipei! Loved breakfast and coffee/snacks available during the day. The lobby/balcony area was nice to hangout. Location is a bit out of the way from main sights - but everything in Taipei is far away, so we were actually close to the metro to connect and also used buses, which were great too - so it worked fine!

The hotel is a little far from the city center, but there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to Tamsui MRT Station. There is a bus every hour. Reservation is required. It is only a few minutes' drive. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the old street. The hotel service is very good. , so considerate. The room is so big and comfortable. The surrounding environment is also very good. Opposite is Tamsui River and on the other side is the golf course. My room is right opposite one of the holes, so the view is excellent. The restaurant is large and comfortable. The breakfast tastes good too, and the hotel is worth staying at.

This Hotel is very new, clean and room are super big, is our most comfortable stay for this taipei trip, my family love it. They provide free tea break (freshly brewed coffee and cookies) for hotel guest at 4PM. Due to early flight we didn't try the breakfast. Will come and stay again next trip. Location although a bit far from city center, but right at the hotel downstair is MRT XinLu Line (St Ignatius High School Station) about 30mins to Taipei Station.
