The Lodhi – A Member of the Leading Hotels of the World

Overall a very poor experience and nothing like a 5 star hotel should be, unless you don’t have experience with 5 star hotels. The room we booked (signature terrace) was in a section of the hotel where renovation was clearly happening. It was 19:00 when we checked in and could hear loud hammering and the room reeked of paint and construction chemicals. We asked to be moved and they just put us in a room directly below where we had the same hammering and smell. We asked to just be in a different section of this very large hotel, but they just moved us once again one room directly below. We finally gave up from being so exhausted and having dinner reservations. We took a shower, and the shower drain was clogged and water leaked out onto the floor. When we came back, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. We finally had enough and insisted we be moved to a different section of the hotel and they finally did, but to a much smaller room than we booked with no tub. We stayed there because it was quiet and didn’t smell like paint and sewage. The front desk reception is completely clueless about hospitality. It was completely inappropriate they checked us into a room in that condition, refused to come up with a solution, and then moved us to a downgraded room, because we didn’t want to hear construction late at night and have sewage come through the shower. They were rude about the situation and did not care at all. This is what I would expect at a $10 a night hostel, not a hotel that claims to be a 5 star luxury experience. On top of that, the day we checked out we didn’t have a flight until the evening, and they said they could hold our bags for the day in storage. After leaving for 5+ hours, we see our bags outside by the entrance. They had been left there all day outside, and I was told it was just a “miscommunication” between staff. I don’t know how no one would notice this, but that’s little the staff cares and how untrained they are. Overall, it was a very stressful stay. I had also stayed at the nearby Oberoi at the start of my trip and had a much better experience. Don’t bother with the Lodhi.

My recent stay at The Lodhi Hotel in the Lodhi Room with a plunge pool was outstanding. The room's elegant decor and thoughtful design were complemented by the refreshing plunge pool, offering a luxurious retreat within the heart of Delhi. Gunjan, the hotel staff, provided exemplary service throughout our stay. Her warm welcome and attentive assistance enhanced our experience, ensuring every need was met with efficiency and professionalism. The hotel's amenities, including fine dining and rejuvenating spa treatments, further elevated our stay, leaving no desire unfulfilled.

Everything about the Lodhi is extraordinarily good .all team members of the hotel are awesome as both individuals and professionals. Mr.Ravinder Singh Housekeeping ***ager is incredible and helpful.he is friendly person and good to talk. Rooms are really specious And quit . we really like the Lodhi .will come back soon . The Lodhi is one of a kind property in the national capital. It's close to pretty much all major touristy places, yet maintains a significant presence of its own. The room comes with a private plunge pool which is iconic. From flower rangoli to welcome dessert, the experience coupled with hospitality is personalized yet surprises you pleasantly. ***si took a special interest during the check-in process to ensure our stay is comfortable and the staff enables us to get the experience we seek. Harry Singh made sure our dietary restrictions are honored and our meals at Elan are memorable. He offered and took a nice picture of our family, ensuring our Elan experience is one we remember for a long time. Last but not at all the least, Ravinder Singh Ji constantly made sure our stay is iconic. He gave us a brief history of the hotel and changed it went through. He also educated us on the amenities the property has to offer. He is a kind gentle*** who gifted me and my wife memorabilia of the iconic Lodhi which is now part of our memory collection. He also assisted us during the check-out process which was smooth and quick. Overall, I would suggest Lodhi for people of all age-groups and for varied experiences. Booking it through AmEx FHR portal comes with its own benefits, see if you can avail those.

We stayed at The Lodhi for 2 nights following our daughter’s wedding in Jaipur & then a week on The Maharaja’s Express train. We were tired & cold when we checked in, but immediately upon arriving we were made to feel so welcomed & at home! We checked in with ***si, who walked us to our room and was so friendly. We talked about the wedding and showed her photos. We upgraded to one of the rooms with a plunge pool-it was gorgeous! After being in a train cabin for a week, it felt like a ***sion!! Beautiful tub & shower and out the toilet with all the bells & whistles! We had room service the first night, which was great & arrived promptly. We also made use of the laundry/dry cleaning services, which again were prompt & efficient! We’ve never stayed at a hotel where EVERY employee was so genuinely concerned about your level of comfort & experience! On our 2nd day, Purushottam arranged a car to pick us up & drive us around. Kheeru picked us up & suggested a couple of wonderful shopping experiences. He again, was so helpful & courteous! We had dinner that night in the hotel at Perbacco. Food was great and our waiter, whose name I sadly didn’t catch, was again, above & beyond! Finally today, we were having our last breakfast & we were talking to Harry from the restaurant. We of course talked about the wedding & showed him photos. Before we left, he, Anika & Rounak came over with a good bye cake & took a photo with us. I almost cried, it was such a sweet gesture! Whatever The Lodhi does for training of its employees, it certainly is working. We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you all!!

Beautiful modern rooms with top notched housekeeping service. The pool in the room was huge and temperature controlled. However, service was average overall. Firstly, when we arrived, no staff were there to assist with our luggages (I am happy to carry my own luggage as I usually do, but for the price, would have been nice if someone offered to help). Breakfast was good with cook to order options. However, service at the restaurant let it down. Seems like they don’t have a designated person to greet and assign you to the table. Most disappointingly is that we were not told that we could order from the cook to order menu. No one even showed us the menu, it was only by chance that I saw the menu tucked away at a service station and decided to look at it before asking if they came with the breakfast. Was also there for the new year countdown celebration and Lodhi did put on a good feast.

Pradeep and Saurabh are fantastic and friendly staff making breakfast the best way to start your day. The rooms are amazing and the location is very convenient for working or visiting the city as a tourist. It's my home in Delhi for sure in the next trips.

It has been absolute pleasure to stat at your property. Both food and the property were great, but staff is even better. They were friendly, helpful and absolutely fantastic to make our stay very warm and enjoyable, particularly Harinder, Piyush and Pradeep.
