Staff were attentive, professional and friendly and actively ensured that our needs were met. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and the bathrooms cleaner than many similar establishments ie actually clean around the edges as well as the amenities. There was also a lift! Wonderful and not such a usual feature in Sri Lanka's three storey accommodations. There is a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast however we were encouraged to have dinner on the rooftop with views of the town. The tuk tuk fare to town was LKR260. The breakfast was good.

.No one should go to this hotel for work, its employees are treated inhumanely, do not go to such a hotel for work or even to eat food.................................................................................................

Me and my friend had gone for a 15 day visit to sri lanka in the month of Dec and every hotel we stayed we enjoyed their facilities and breakfast.. we stayed in hotel sico on 31st Dec for a a night.. we were welcomed and we loved the hotel room . Beautiful place and they even arranged for a router in our room as their wifi was not working. We paid 4000/- sri lankan currency for 2 people for breakfast. We had a flight to catch on 1st Jan and the breakfast arranged for us right from the start was horrible. I asked for black coffee and literally the coffee and water looked separate. Asked for sri lankan omelette which supposed to have chillies and tomatoes. I got plain omelette and when I asked him to make another one with chillies and tomatoes, the waiter got it a plate with just cut chillies and tomatoes. I don't think the waiter understood anything what we were requesting. Since we were hungry we were eating whatever they were giving us. The bread was cold and not toasted. What shocked us was when my friend asked for a vegetable sandwich and she bit into it and there was a small toothpick which was holding the sandwich together and it hurt her so much. But they didn't care. When we asked for refund, they kept saying that we ate the breakfast , so they can't give. Such a disappointment to end the trip with..

Good Hotel, I was Impressed with the first impression, Rooms are Cozy and comfy. Lots of ants in the bathroom. Not an issue when I understand its nature and Hotel team attended rightaway and solve the issues. At my checkout, I paid everything. Settled my bills, asked them to store my luggages for 2 hours, as I wanted to do sightseeing and lunch before heading to flight. We stopped by reception twice, once we were waiting for the vehicle we simply asked for a glass of water, even the staffs reconfirmed if we want a glass or bottle.. we clearly mentioned that we need a glass of water. They brought us a bottle of water, which is very nice, excellent and we loved it. After checkout we went out, due to traffic we came back to Hotel in rush, worrying that a minute wasted might miss our flight. It ruined my whole impression with the hotel when the staff member came running behind me mentioning I have a billed to settle, I asked her what is the item to pay since I have settled all my Bill's. She had no clue, started calling her colleagues, while I kept saying I might miss my flight. Make it hurry, at the end because of the hotel service I wasted my time to pay for a bottle of water which is misunderstandings or the hotel, served us a bottle when we asked for a glass, fine if they charge for a glass. Not a problem to pay but the charges should be presented and asked to pay rightaway when they know that we are checkout and ready to go. Just running behind me for payment of a water bottle, irritated me alot and changed my whole impression of the stay. Nice hotel, if you want good comments and to be popular in the city with the tourists. Need to train the team of what service is. Its definitely not the Receptionist fault. Management should train them, be available to make decisions when it's related to customers experience. Or empower the Receptionist in decision making. I have no problem paying for a bottle of water when I have paid alot more for my accommodation and food there.. but last impression was spoiled from their own mistake.

Beds are really confortable and it's really clean. The shower is just amazing. We really liked the hôtel and it's close to the restaurants and the beach. We had an airport pick up with them at 2h00 on the morning and they were very welcoming and it's really close to the airport. We will probably come back to this hotel before leaving. The breakfeast is too expensive (but it's was a good breakfeast) and there is not a lot of other options around before 11h00 am. I suggest you to buy something in avance at the grocery if you travel on a budget.
