The hotel is located in the city center, inside the Galleria Umberto I. You can see the crowds downstairs when you stand in front of the window. The glass is very soundproof. The hotel was very well located a few steps from Palazzo Reale and Castel Nuovo and only a few blocks from the port. The customer service was very positive, from the moment we did the check in until we literally left the hotel. They were extremely helpful, professional and kind to us. The elevator is something to experience, although only a few floors it worth to try it and the receptionist will give you the coins to use it. I will highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are very spacious, our even have a balcony and the decor is unique and beautiful. Breakfast has a huge selection of pastries, coffes etc...

This is the best thing you can imagine in Naples to be in its centre, a step away from the Royal Palace and the opera of San Carlo. A small hotel redesigned from a huge apartment is on the 4th floor of the Humberto 1 Gallery built in the late 19th century. You need to enter through the arch from the side of Toledo Street. The door to the entrance to the left. The ancient staircase is equipped with an elevator. The host was kind, very sweet, waiting for us, but we understood that it was better to inform in advance about the time of his arrival, because he is not there constantly, but only placed and gave us the keys and the placard for food in the cafe under our room, We haven't seen it anymore. The hotel is in a perfect location via Toledo, the room had a spectacular view of the street. The only thing is that check in is made in a different location than the hotel, but if you send them a mail to the hotel, you will get the address where you have to check in. For all the other great!!

I traveled to Napoli alone. My car broke down on the way. It was already past 11 o'clock when I arrived. Although I chose a 12-person room, it didn't seem to be full because it was New Year's Day. I stayed there for 3 days in total. At most, there seemed to be only 6 people living there. The washroom and toilet were all outside the dormitory, which felt a little quieter. The bed was very soft and quite comfortable to sleep in. Anyway, I slept until noon every day to go around. The whole city is very unique. I stayed there for 3 nights. I spent one day strolling around the city and another day walking around Pompeii. One night was New Year's Day, and everyone went up to the rooftop to watch the fireworks. The view on the rooftop was really good. It was also part of the youth hostel. There were tables and chairs on it where you could bask in the sun. It was a wonderful New Year's Eve. The kitchen was fully equipped with kitchenware and dishwasher, and there were free tea bags, snacks, etc. You could take them for free. You can make some pasta yourself. There is a supermarket within a minute's walk, and you can buy cheap snacks and water immediately. The hostel is not far from attractions such as the National Archaeological Museum, the Spanish Quarter, and the New Castle.

The taxi from Naples Central Station to the hotel was 20 euros. You must bargain in Naples, hahaha. The hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes walk to the Royal Palace of Naples. The room is large, and the facilities are old but complete, clean and hygienic. The room includes breakfast and dinner. The breakfast restaurant is on the first floor, and the dinner restaurant is on the top floor, with a sea view. Dinner starts at 19:30. The main meal is not a buffet. There are three courses in total, appetizer, main course (pasta & soup or meat, choose one), and dessert. Recommended appetizer is sea bream, main course is grilled seafood, and dessert is tiramisu (very big)

We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. We wanted a hotel next to the train station to go to Pompeii and the airport easily, and this hotel's location is very convenient. But as in most European cities, the area is not super safe at night because it's next to a train station. The hotel was alright, good relation quality/price. Breakfast could be much better, it wasn't great
