The Kahana Villa Resort is an older resort with somewhat decent ammenities (pool and hot tub are fine, tennis courts still in good working order. No gym is a negative), but the check in process was a negative. The process was to call another resort, have them give you a code to unlock a safe to get a packet that included your room number and card key. No personnel on site to answer any questions or welcome you. They have recently renovated the rooms, which were overall nice enough, but still somewhat simple. If you wanted to speak with a concierge, you needed to go to a sister resort across the street to talk to them and book any excursions. Parking was plentiful overall, but many of the spots are reserved for specific guests, so it can be confusing to visitors what is available vs what is empty but reserved. The walking paths around the resort were not planned well at all. The fastest way around the resort is walking along the resort driveways. My sense is that if you get a great deal on this resort & that is important to you, then it might be a decent option. If the listed price or RCI points are similar to it's peers, then I would likely choose another resort on my next visit.
