SaffronStays Little Paradise, Murud

Cosy and calm because the place is really small and private. Nice place to relax. The interior was a bit to "vintage" for that amount of money. (compared to european standard) But if you are in a Indian lazy mood or sit on the veranda you won't notice it anymore and will find it nostal-chic. Food is good. So there is no need to search around for the next meal.

I had bookmarked this place for over 3 years thinking that I will choose the right occasion to spend a weekend here. I chose my 40th Birthday weekend to come here last month and I was so massively disappointed. Saffronstays Team has no consideration for sharing accurate information about the property. The website still shows old pictures which were probably taken when the property was built and ready. There is a huge wall built up right in front of the house that blocks the view and access of the beach that was so proudly shown off in the photos. The rooms were so basic and there is no sense of aesthetic in its decor. With rotten fire extinguishers hung up on the wall for a cottage built with wood, poorly manicured lawns (one part of practically dead with brown grass), dirt lying on the slippery steps, they offered us a clear recipe of disaster in the thick of monsoon! Not to mention the obnoxious prices they charged us for our stay there. What fueled to our frustration fire was the caretaker's lack of responsibility in sharing information about the broken down meal packages which were not even conveyed on the website, so we were left to either fight with the management or fend for our own food in the middle of nowhere. I would never in my life recommend anyone to every visit this place or any place managed by Saffronstays because they broke our trust with misguided photos and poor customer grievance management!

recently stayed at Saffronstays Little Paradise in Murud, booked through MakeMyTrip. The property’s tranquility and privacy, with only three cottages, offered a delightful escape. The meals were a highlight, and the caretakers were exceptionally helpful. The front yard’s scenic view of the garden and sea added to the charm. However, there’s room for improvement in terms of service professionalism. Ordering snacks or meals in advance is essential, as on-the-spot requests can be challenging. One drawback is the limited availability of nearby stores and activities, making it advisable to plan and bring essentials. Despite these points, the overall experience was positive, and the serene ambiance makes it a tempting retreat for those seeking peace and quiet.

I have no excuse for giving them less stars because the host, their hospitality and the property location were excellent. The food's quality and quantity were superb. We loved it, thankyou so much ❤️ While coming by road before you reach the jetty, Simply look for the "little paradise" sign board to the right to find the property.

A perfect breakaway so close to Mumbai without the unnecessary frills n fancies. Great view, comfortable room, absolutely homemade food and very caring staff. Shall definitively visit again and recommend to others… Suggestion… take the M2M ferry if you are coming from Mumbai… saves 2 hours.

Misrepresentative photos and description. Highly overpriced for the location. Nowhere close to a beach. Seafood not included in the food charges (over and above the extra Rs. 1400 per person per day). Abysmal customer service, with no one responding to queries for days.

While we enjoyed our stay at the property, it did was not up to the saffron stay standard. The bathrooms were smelly and the rooms were not upto the mark. Cows and stray dogs were in and out of the garden area. We potted a rat outside the room too. The cook and lady at the property were extremely hospitable and made sure we were made very comfortable. If the things mentioned are looked into, the guests will enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Jehangir and the team made the stay very comfortable. He was there attending to all our needs. We liked the place, the access to beach is very convenient almost feels like a pvt beach experience. We would definitely want to come again. We were told that there will be more rooms coming up but I have a feeling that would make the place loose it's charm with too many people. Hopefully it is done keeping the idyllic nature in mind!

Except for the quality of food and decent behavior of the caretaker and a lady, certain issues need attention: 1. We had to see clothes of support staff put out to dry in the parking lot, when we entered the premises for the first time. We thought of going back but since we had driven for 3 half hours, we reluctantly decided to explore. This is indeed pathetic and embarrassing. 2. The cottage was simple and clean but definitely not the value for money paid. Just by giving a wooden look doesn’t mean that one can charge a premium. The toilet was clean. 3. The garden area was not clean and the gardening was sad. There was animal poop all over. 4. There were stray dogs in the premises. This is dangerous. 5. There was a gutter open in the garden. Again dirty and dangerous. Children and pets can fall into it. Our feedback is for your improvement since the tariff is comparatively high. Regards
