The Parkview Hotel Mudgee ★★★★

"What a fabulous find! We stayed along with another couple for 3 nights, both of us staying in King Suites (1 and 2 - we stayed in 1) upstairs that opened onto the large verandah overlooking Robertson Park. The decor in both suites was spot on for the building. Bathrooms were beautiful. King beds were just what was needed at the end of each very big day of events. There is a great little cafe downstairs that does a great coffee and fab breakfast. The locals frequent this cafe also, which goes to show its a goodie. We ate our breakfast each morning on the verandah upstairs in the sunshine. Parking is on site. On my initial phone call about 10 months prior was with the lovely Hannah. This woman is as wonderful over the phone as she was in person. Nothing was too much trouble. I rang Hannah quite a few times prior to our arrival and she was amazing! Genuine country hospitality and friendliness was in abundance not only from Hannah but from her parents who are really lovely as well. This was a great stay from beginning to end. What's not to love about The Parkview Hotel!!!!!! Can't wait to return!"

"From our very first contact with Pip, the relieving manager, booking was a very pleasant experience with efficient follow-up contact. We were travelling with a dog and it was so nice to find a pet friendly room that was so fresh, clean and recently refurbished. The recently renovated bathroom was so lovely and modern and the shower was an absolute dream with great water pressure and a lovely big shower rose. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well fitted out. A handwritten card welcomed us when we arrived and offered further help if needed. The relieving managers were very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't get a continental breakfast and didn't really have time to go into town so we went on to Gulgong and got a light breakfast there on our way home. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. I only wish we could've stayed longer and enjoyed the lovely town of Mudgee. Unfortunately, we were on a deadline. The grounds and pool were immaculate and a beautiful park like area at the back was available to exercise our dog or just enjoy the rural scenery. It also contained a covered barbecue area with plenty of room to have outdoor entertaining. A truly lovely setting and very easy to find coming in into town from the Coolah direction.just a thing for weary travellers. We would happily stay there again and highly recommend it to those travelling with a pet. Thanks for making our brief visit to Mudgee so easy and pleasant."

"We had a verandah room and loved it - beds were super comfy and warm and very clean. Shared the room with 2 friends and totally enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the street. Gulgong is a quaint, friendly village - had a great meal at the The Bailt pizza wine tapas bar. Highly recommend going to spend a night there and wander around and enjoy the history"
