Clean, quaint, hotel with polite staff in a convenient area to access the wharf, cannery, and aquarium. Clean hotel and enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was convenient and the rooms were comfortable. The manager, Ronald, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. We will stay here again if we can afford it. During the week in off season is the only time we can afford it, but this is now our favorite hotel.

From the time we got there, the Staff seemed to be "tour guides" as well as a GREAT Host! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Everything worked and was in terrific condition. Grounds were extremely well maintained and tightly. Very quiet location and as prior Military & Law Enforcement, we felt overwhelmingly Safe! 100% satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay there again or recommend it to family or friends!

This property is amazing. Lodge....but cleaness like a hotel. I strongly recommend!!

This was a great stay. The room was clean and property was quiet. Our room was upstairs and in a good location. It was a quick drive to downtown and Cannery Row. I would stay here again. We had friends stay on the first floor and could hear their upstairs neighbor thumping around so request upstairs.

Great location and the staff were great, especially Ronald who was so accommodating.

Great location - it is an easy walk to the bay and to the pier and downtown locations (all within 1.5 mile).

We love this place. The rooms are very nice and clean. . Beds are comfortable. Quiet hotel. We will be back for sure!

Was looking for a cheap room for 1 night and this fit the bill perfectly!

First off let me say the manager or whatever his position was. That guy, great freaking guy. I bugged that guy so many times in my first hour of being there and he didn’t seem irritated or frustrated at all. He helped me until everything was fixed. Now, It was interesting. So I get to the room and the TV won’t work. Went to office, got new batteries, back to the room, still nothing. Back to the office the manager comes with me and luckily the office remote worked on my TV so he let me have it. Room was great, plenty of space and two windows that I could actually open to let the fresh air in. The shower head could be better, it would spray the wall from behind sometimes and I found a doughnut underneath the bed lol. The fridge is nice and big but it doesn’t have a freezer so doesn’t bring ice cream haha. Other than that it was a great spot. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, quite and spacious rooms. The outside of the property is cute and there is a nice patio area for guests. The pool is small and not heated (at least not very warm), but it is clean and well maintained. Staff helped us find a room when we arrived before check in time. Overall, a solid little motel.

I made last minute arrangements for a conference I was attending and chose the Stage Coach Lodge mainly based upon the price and location, being only about half a mile from the conference site. I had a great experience! Check in was fast and easy and the counter person was very nice and answered all my questions. The room was very nice and clean and I loved the layout with the closet nook area that included the fridge and microwave, and the cubby for towels in the bathroom. I felt a little spoiled as I don't have cable TV, so being able to scroll through all the channels while I was there seemed a little luxurious. (Sometimes the little things make the big differences.) I also loved that all the rooms were themed and I had the Fisherman's Wharf room, complete with an amazing picture of the wharf. Although I wasn't able to use them, the pool looked really nice and there was a patio area that would have been great to hang out in if I had more time. I did have an issue connecting to the Inernet with my laptop, which could have been user error, but maybe have a back up plan in case you have the same issues. I feel like the Stage Coach Lodge is a steal for the Monterey area. Really a great value for the price! There may be closer hotels to the downtown area, but it is really close, so not an inconvenience to have to drive just a little bit to get to the hot spots.

My Stay at Stage Coach in was very enjoyable. It is very convenient to where I conduct business. The location is quiet and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I appreciate the good internet connectivity through the WiFi access point. Daily room cleaning was done well and the coffee service and towels were replenished.
