The hotel is nice, though a bit outdated. The price for our stay and the free breakfast were great! The strong smell of the cleaning chemicals were the only thing which really bothered us a lot!

Avoid - room floors are disgusting and haven’t been cleaned in ages, make sure you wear flip-flops or your feet will be black.
We stayed for 3 days and everyday the cleaning lady left our door unlocked - we complained several times and they still didn’t lock it. Our things could have been stolen!!! Very very poor.
There’s no way to close the windows as there are nets - it gets incredibly loud from 6-7am at breakfast time so don’t expect a lie in. It’s also very loud from the street until 2am.
The laundry service didn’t work as advertised - we had to use a laundromat as it doesn’t work properly, and is only open from 6pm overnight!
Overall was very disappointed with the stay. Would like a refund. AVOID!

the has it nice moments, but the rooms are deteriorated, kind of dirty and bedding seems old / worn, or low quality.
I does not give a really comfortable sleep.
The pool area is nice.
the breakfast was decent but poor..everybody gets scrambled eggs and rice. coffee and juice was good.
Like most places in Merida, it looks like with a eye on detail and a little effort it could jump to the next level...but then they might charge more.
Ultimately I would recommend it for persons on a small budget, but the bedding was so poor I am not sure I could recommend the hotel.

For the price, The Doralba Inn was great. This is a no frills hotel and that's what you get. It is conveniently located to the historic area of Merida. There is a pool, and the courtyard is lovely. They provide breakfast, the food was a little interesting scrambled eggs with some kind of meat or vegetable served with rice, pasta or refried beans. But again for the price, you can afford to go out and find breakfast if you don't like what they are offering. Overall, good experience for my husband and myself. We would definitely stay again.
