Somos Flats Laureles

We were there last October, it was a really good experience even though the first night the room we booked wasn’t available and were downgraded that night. The next day I had to request the correct room, they did have one available at that moment. We really liked our second room and overall everything was good, you do have to request the cleaning service separately. I recommend staying here, they have a really friendly staff, good books and board games, and a wonderful location. Hope to come back soon.

Nice place in Laureles! Modern and fresh space with possibility to cook. Good common space with free coffee in the morning. 2 min walking from thw lively street carrera 70, so you are very close but still not bothered by noise. Will come back if I return to medellin.

There were pluses and minuses. The room was very nice. Spacious and well appointed. Bed comfortable. Kitchen was very good. The reception staff were good (but English was hit and miss). If you want the Laurales area the location is excellent. Several cons.. 1. Cleanliness. There is a cleaning fee. But you have to ask for cleaning everyday. And even if you ask, the reply may be we are too busy with checkouts. But not my problem. I paid for cleaning. In an 8 day stay the room was cleaned 3 times. When I arrived there were long hairs (I’m a balding man) on the bathroom floor and in the sheets. Were the sheets really changed?? Or just bad laundry?? 2. Hot water. Great hot water in shower. But no hot water in bathroom sink. I may be a spoiled American, but I don’t like cold water shaves. 3. No elevator. Not good for senior citizens with bad back. 4. Maintenance. My shower drain was clogged. Every day they said they were going to unclog but never did. Overall more pluses than minuses.

Great stay, lots of food options near by, safe neighborhood. Property was pretty and the staff was nice

Fantastic experience, great location. Walking distance to a nice shopping mall where you can get all what you need to include Money Exchange. Safe area you can walk anywhere at anytime of day. Staff is cool and friendly especially when you have people visiting 😉. I enjoyed my stay so much and I will stay again definitely when I visit again. Poblado is only a $4 Uber ride. So you can save so much money living in Laureles rather than poblado where all the restaurants and nightlife.
