Ulasan Hoshino Resorts Kai Matsumoto

We loved our stay at the Hoshina resort in Matsumoto. The rooms were beautiful and the onsen was heavenly. I wish I'd stayed longer just to keep enjoying the onsen facilities! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't stay long but did enjoy the piano playing in the evening. We also had the tasting menu and both dinner and breakfast were spectacularly presented. If there was one thing to improve it would be to make air conditioner both lower and stronger. It was very hot out and we had a hard time cooling the room down enough. Also, the dining room walls could use a bit of a refresh.

Stayed at 2 Hoshino Kai resorts this trip and I would say the service at Kai Alps was much better than Kai Matsumoto. The food at Kai Matsumoto was very much better than Kai Alps though. So all in all, we really enjoyed staying at Hoshino resorts and cannot wait to explore more areas! When staying at Hoshino resorts, I really do recommend getting the special dinner and in room onsen.

The hotel phone number on Trip.com is wrong, so you have to use Google Maps to drive yourself; the hotel is a bit old but well maintained, and the waiters are professional and courteous, worthy of Hoshino. Dinner and breakfast were simpler than expected; the music performance every night and the free drinking were worth extra points; I was disappointed that the bathroom in the room smelled of urine, which must be a problem with the air.

I like the city of Matsumoto very much, and the people I met are very enthusiastic. However, I am not very satisfied with this hotel at this price. First of all, the hotel facilities are not new. Although the room is large, there is almost no outdoor view; It is a one-night, two-night stay. Although the food is not particularly delicious, it is also a little surprising. I like their Shinshu beef. The overall taste of breakfast is salty because they mainly promote their special miso; There is a hot spring in the room, which is good, and the amenities also provide a bath, but no bathing agent? ? I walked almost a kilometer to the nearby 711 to buy it... Finally, it was very surprising that as a hotel of this level, there is no shuttle bus to Matsumoto Station that the hotel should provide. Either you can only ask the hotel to call a taxi, or you have to wait for a shuttle bus provided by an unknown organization. I think this is not right.

The food is good, there is a free concert in the evening, free drinks and red wine 🍷, great performance, the biggest disadvantage is the room scenery, the hot spring experience will be better in winter, there is a bus stop two minutes away

There is no view from the room, and the windows are half-covered because there are private houses opposite, probably for privacy! The food was just average, nothing amazing. Compared with the room fee paid, I feel it is not worth it!

Taking a taxi from Matsumoto Station costs about 2,700 yen. If you take a private train and get off at Kita-Matsumoto Station, it is cheaper to take a taxi. The hotel facilities are good, the public bath is large, and the room is not small. But what left the biggest impression on me was the food and WiFi. The food here, whether for dinner or breakfast, is of a very high standard. As for the Wi-Fi, it's surprisingly fast. The hotel service is definitely very good, especially in order to serve tourists from all over the world. The hotel can provide English and Japanese services, and there are introductions in Chinese and Korean. Hoshino’s standards are indeed very high.

The room is spacious and the view is beautiful. There is a separate hot spring in the room for you to soak at any time. There are also more than a dozen hot springs in the large bath. There are two concerts in the evening. You can taste wine and juice, which is very suitable for relaxation. Dinner and lunch are enjoyed in a separate room, maintaining privacy. Overall very satisfied.

In the middle of ordinary residential buildings, there is no place to go shopping. Dinner ingredients are very cheap, although the taste is okay. Breakfast was very salty. The biggest highlight is the hot spring, where you can enjoy the garden view while soaking in the hot spring.

The staff was very attentive. It was a family birthday that day and they made a very memorable photo for us. In addition, every dish is very exquisite.

To be honest, the environment is as beautiful as ever, and I particularly like the series of hotels in the area. I look forward to winter and cherry blossom season. But I really can’t enjoy the meal (*´I`*) I’ve eaten enough (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ )

Comfortable room and good food

The sub-brand of Hoshino Resorts is not a high-end brand. It is not recommended to stay in summer. There are no bright spots. The location is in a residential area.
