My wife and I visited Marrakech in May 2024. We can’t tell you how lucky we were to have stayed at such an amazing and hospitable place as Palais Tara. From the moment we stepped into the Riad, we were welcomed by the most amazing staff, as well as a beautiful aroma. A lovely young lady called Manar greeted us. She sat us down in a cosy sofa area and asked one of the other hosts to bring us some Moroccan tea and delicious biscuits. Manar did a thorough job patiently spending a good 45 minutes going through everything we needed to know about Marrakech. She told us all the places to visit and helped us plan each of our days there. Then she gave us a tour of the hotel where me met the owners Wamidh and Najat. We can’t tell you just how much it felt like we were meeting our own family members. They were so welcoming and throughout the stay they made sure we had everything we needed. Every day we stayed, they made a point to join us for breakfast for a few minutes to check in on how we were getting on. Najat was so caring that she even took the time and trouble to take my wife to a particular shop to help her buy something she wanted. The restaurant manager, Abde, was also very pleasant and helpful, explaining the menu items, and chatting to us about so many things. He gave us excellent service together with the other hosts, Oumaima and Anass, who were equally delightful, making us feel a part of the family. The room we had was on the first floor and a lovely size. From the moment we stepped in, we could see the care that had been taken to provide every facility possible. We had to stop to take photos of the beautiful towel arrangement of two swans and rose petals that greeted us on the tables and in the bathroom. On one of the days my wife and I indulged in one of the Hammam’s at the Riad, which was at an extremely reasonable price and left us feeling refreshed after a long day out touring. Najat had gone out of her way to arrange a special late dinner for us that day as well. The food was lovely, although we did try the restaurants outside mostly but enjoyed the breakfast at the Riad every day. It goes without saying that staying at Palais Tara was one of the most memorable parts of our holiday. The Riad was in the perfect location in the heart of Marrakech. We stayed there for four nights and would happily go back there any time. If we could give 6 stars out of 5, we would for the time we spent there. This place is triple AAA* and we would definitely recommend a stay there. A huge thumbs up and thank you to Wamidh, Najat and their whole team that didn’t leave any stone unturned to make this experience as perfect as possible.
