I was attending training at the advanced research center at manipal academy of higher education. The location of swagat inn is between 3-4 kms from the international hostel entrance of manipal. It is more than 5km away from udupi sreekrishna temple. The amenities was poor around its location. There was no good restaurants around the place. Swagat inn's own restaurant was not operational till 11:30am in the morning. The other restaurant nearby is also bar-attached. Regarding the accommodation, i opted for non-ac single room. But what they provided is an air-conditioned room after disabling the ac. This makes the room without any external air vents. After few hours in the evening, i felt suffocated inside the room because of no air circulation. I had to open the windowpane at 02:00am in the night to escape from the high temperature and suffocation. In the beginning of february, the climate is cool, mornings are very misty. But the temperature inside the room is very high even in the early morning. Another aspect is that, there was no almirah or wardrobes or any provision to hang the shirts and dress inside the room. I had to keep everything on the table top or floor. There was no provision to keep personal/private belongings. So i had never handed-over the key for room cleaning. There was only minimum interaction from the reception. I had to ask for the availability of wifi. It was there, but the connection speed was much poorer than my mobile network and i couldn't use it at all. Even though it was cheaper, it is not an ideal option for stays more than a day.

The staffs were very helpful and polite. Early check in is allowed depending upon the vacant rooms.

Staff was polite and good. Adjustable in nature and no problem in anything. Very good recommended hotel in manipal.

The stay at swagath inn was excellent and totally unexpected. The place is closer to manipal and a km from the main road on a village road. But the location is self sufficient to take care of all needs. Not very far from udupi but away from rush. Easily accessible. The staff were polite and helpful.

Properly location is good, rooms also very big spaces, clean, if you are business travelers in budget then its perfect hotel

It was very bad, ac was not even working properly, i did complaint and they were rude and ignorant. They didn’t even solve my proble

Hotel staff asked us for extra money for early check-in but we already requested that in our booking with makemytrip app, also he sold us mineral water for 35 whose actual price is 20. Washroom exhaust fan of room number 306 also not working.

Great hotel very clean and peaceful place staff were very polite has a pretty good car parking place
