Ulasan Six Senses Fiji, an IHG Hotel

Our family of 5 (3 kids aged 5, 2 and 6 months) just returned from the perfect family holiday during which we spent 9 nights at the Six Senses. The resort is simply beautiful - is has the ideal feel of a luxurious, relaxing and quality place to unwind and drink in all the things that make Fiji so special. The service is second-to-none; the facilities cater to all needs that kids and parents could ever have; and the physical surroundings are the stuff post-cards. By comparison, we stayed at Vomo a couple of years ago, which was lovely - but Six Senses is another level-up. Starting with the resort itself: We spread ourselves between Residences 11 and 43 for different parts of our stay. Residence 11 has 5 bedrooms, a massive pool (including a shaded part of the pool which is tastefully partitioned and perfect for kids learning to swim), panoramic views, massive bedrooms with high-end finishes, a private well-equipped gym, multiple living spaces which are perfect for family or large groups, and even a hammock with a built-in pillow that is actually super comfortable! The elevated position and location makes R11 extremely private and ideal for families like ours with boisterous children and the need for loads of space. The best place on the island for a sundowner and sunset too. Having seen many of the residences, it would be my pick of all options at the Resort - and my pick to stay anywhere in the world frankly! R43 is a very special place too - on the beach, it is spacious, very well-appointed with a great pool (including partitioned kids' pool) and loads of living space. Everything is quality and it feels like a home away from home. The multiple restaurants and bar areas are a cut above anything that I have experienced anywhere in Fiji (having visited circa 19 times). The food deserves special mention. Breakfast was plentiful with the fresh fruit and squeezed juices, probiotic drinks which I understand are developed and made on-site (try the rocket fuel - it will put hairs on your chest!), delicious pastries if you feel like indulging, and a full suite of healthy options - we enjoyed a mix of the naughty and nice brekkie depending on our activity levels and discipline! Lunch was always great - again lots of healthy meals and also classics like beef burgers and sandwiches; as well as super-healthy bowls and seafood options. Dinner was always a difficult choice because of the great options. My personal favourite was a Fiji Bitter and wood fired pizza at Tavolea - the outdoor pizza-type restaurant. It has a lovely relaxing feel and is perfect for families - with an outdoor cinema option and beanbags in front for the little ones (and me on occasion) when they finish eating. We also enjoyed the cultural evening there during which we ate a Lovo (traditional Fiji cooking) and took in some dancing - the dancers even got my 2 (nearly 3 ) year old up win stage . I enjoyed some Kava and a chat to Isaac who is a great man (with a ha
