We booked our stay for one night during long weekend and ended up leaving the room and booking somewhere else. It’s nothing like what you see in pics. Rooms and old and run down. There were cracks in the wall where old aircon was and big flies were coming in from that. We were told that restaurant was closed because there were no staff available due to long weekend. We tried to raise this with trip.com and we’re offered $15 worth of credit but refund.

Great place to stay but unfortunately you cannot buy food on Monday's or Tuesday's. Probably should mention that on the website so people know to BYO.

Size of room,quietness of surrounds.
Didnt like the early morning noise of someone banging a lid or bin at 6am every morning,thats what it sounded like anyway.
Shame the Chateau wasn't opened everyday,&
closure of the resturant at Lyndoch.
This could be a fabulous resort if the right
Investor buys. & the highlight of the Barossa..

Room was clean, towels good, shower good. Staff (i think her name was Heather) very helpful. Grounds were overgrown. External structure of motel in state of disrepair. Deck off room was falling apart and dangerous. Pool was dirty, water was cloudy and not well balanced. Pool walls were slimy with mould and algae stains.

The pool had black slime on the walls and I had to remove dozens of dead bees and wasps daily before I had a swim. The advertising suggested that we would be staying at the lovely shateau but no… they were basic but spacious motel rooms. A little deceptive.

Lyndoch Hill was a lovely spot to commence our visit to the Barossa /Valley. Mandy greeted us in the cafe with beautifully presented tables for our morning coffee with home made scones, apricot jam and cream. This was so delightful.
Mark and Mandy have a beautiful property to share with guests and were such nice people to take time out to have a chat as well.

This is a very special place and quite unique. Set up on a hill surrounded by rose gardens. In built white wooden furniture and roomy bath room with walk in shower. Small rear balcony looking out to the garden. Historical museum and gallery also on premises
