Premier Inn Luton (Airport)

Lovely room, big, AC, very comfortable bed and duvet etc. Beefeater restaurant and bar right next door was great as we didn't know how far away dinner would be. Very helpful and friendly staff too. A bit of a walk from the station with suitcases. The bathroom smelled a bit like a previous guest had smoked in there.

Was happy to find a disabled parking place very near the entrance to the hotel. Easy check in process. We'd booked a family room as I was sharing with my dad, unfortunately, the 2nd bed wasn't made up. As I am disabled, my dad, who is 83, made his way back to reception (we were at the end of a long corridor) to ask for the bed to be made up. He was handed a set of sheets and we had to make up the bed ourselves. After a tiring 3 hour drive, some help from staff would have been appreciated, particularly as I am disabled and my dad is elderly. Other than that, the room and bathroom was clean and the beds comfortable.

There was constant noise from the room above. Could not sleep at all and was due to get on a flight at 5.20am the following morning. Ruined my first day away as whole family were tired and grumpy as a result of lack of sleep. Entire first day of our trip ruined by a poorly designed / cheaply built building with wafer thin floors from which you can hear every noise. The room upstairs obviously had children and they constantly jumping in and out of bed I would assume and running around the room. Sounded like a herd of elephants from downstairs

Unlike other Premier Inn hotels, the rooms are not soundproofed so you hear noise from the corridor, rooms above, and rooms next door. The matress was not the usual comfortable matress I've come to expect of the brand. It was overly soft. Parking spaces were very limited but after some searching we did find some free spaces furthest away from the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. You need to pay for parking at a machine in the entrance lobby. The location is bery convenient for the airport but I'd recommend taking ear plugs if you want to have a good night's sleep.

Do not park here. Clearly has a crime problem. Mine and another car was broken into. Several others have been also due to the amount of glass around. It is being watched. CCTV next to useless. If you can, stay somewhere else or park elsewhere. Staff seemed totally unsurprised and genuinely couldn't care less. Another told me his bike had been stolen whilst on shift too.
