Good, but too expensive

My wife and I stayed in the two-bedroom top floor "Thyme" apartment at La Residenza in Lucca recently, and the experience was like living an episode of The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Located in the walled part of the city that's a ten-minute walk to the train station, the apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated, and it includes the most comfortable beds, three huge flat-screen TVs, wonderfully appointed bathrooms with huge showers, and gorgeous original wood beam ceilings. The fully equipped kitchenette had brand new appliances, including a large fridge, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, glassware and silverware. The staff is absolutely amazing. There is an on-site receptionist who caters to the guests every need. They also have a butler for the guests, and breakfast can be brought to your room from La Residenza's sister property, The Grand Universe Lucca, which is a three-minute walk away. The entrance to La Residenza is tucked away in a very quiet part of Lucca, providing guests with complete privacy from the crowds and other guests. My wife and I have stayed in dozens of beautiful hotels throughout Tuscany over the past twelve years and La Residenza is by far our favorite.
