Laoma Shaobing Restaurant opposite Shadian has a great breakfast of shaobing and tofu. This is the second time I have stayed at a luxury hotel. The health and facilities are not ideal and should be improved. However, there is no better hotel in the center of Luanping County."

"Best experience we’ve had in China. The owner picked us up from the station, upgraded our room free of charge which was such a treat after our hike to watch the sunset on the wall. We had delicious food at the restaurant downstairs that evening and felt very welcomed by the locals. I would highly recommend staying here if you’d like to go to The Great Wall and have a less touristy experience and actually get the wall to yourself."

"EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! The owner and his family are very welcoming and always pleased to help. He came to pick us up from the train station and helped us to get some food and other necessities for the following day. The room is fabulous! Very modern, spacious and clean, and the shower is an absolute dream. It’s only a couple of km from the main entrance of the Jinshanling Great Wall section. His wife is an excellent cook so you can enjoy a delicious meal before or after your trek on the Wall. He also speaks very good English so communication is easy and fun! I highly recommend 🥰"

"Not sure of this was a hotelroom of a house. Looks like a house, but there was no complete inventory. No cups for example. The staff at The Front desk was very friendly, but not assertive or knowing. The restaurant had a very young staff, with no overview. They forgot one dish and when we asked they said the kitchen was already closed. Drinks were not served. When asked they did not understand it. Ik was quite confusing. I do not blame them, they were so young and they were trying, but the management was sitting at the table next to us while it happend and they did not help these young kids. We enjoyed the location and had a fantastic visit to the wall but overall the experience was quite underwhelming."

"It was a bit hard to find as an international traveller, you have to go all the way to the entrance of the park (past the jianshanling hotel) and the very last right a few hundred feet before the ticket booth and checkpoint, you go right, and it is a few houses down. The hosts, room, and food were all wonderful and accommodating, the most delicious we have had in china so far!"

The front desk staff is warm and responsive. Problems found: 1, after the bath, the water can not be drained immediately, the next day there is still water on the bathroom floor. 2. The water heater is connected to the large shower head. This shower head has a large amount of water. The hot water of the water heater cannot be supplied in the later stage, and the water becomes cold. So it is recommended to replace it with a small nozzle. The room I live in is on the innermost side of the corridor. Under the window is Xingang East Street where the hotel gathers. It is equivalent to going to the room to go to most of the street. Haha, so the room price is cheap? The disposable toiletries provided by the hotel are useless except for small soaps (the last picture), and the dental appliances and shampoo that you bring with you. In order to protect the environment, it is recommended that you use as little as possible disposable items. This kind of items are discarded once they are used up, which is not friendly to the environment."
