WARNING - TERRIBLE HOTEL AND SERVICE DO NOT BOOK HERE! Regularly cancels bookings with little notice! Despite booking 8 months prior to our trip, 8 weeks before our arrival we received an automated email ‘confirming our booking had been cancelled.’ We did not cancel our booking, they did and used this automated email that I assumed was an error, to tell us. I had to message twice before receiving an actual email from a person who just said - oh we had a system update and now we can’t accommodate you. There was no offer of a discounted rate for a future trip, no real apology or explanation, just a - system update, we’ve already refunded you. Whilst this place looks nice, it’s just not worth the risk - they cancelled with such little notice we will now have to find a hotel in town (which is not where we wanted to be for our trip). A few days after this interaction I spoke with a friend who had the exact same experience with the white lodge a couple of years prior. They booked at the white lodge who cancelled their reservation with little notice due to a ‘system error.’ My friends ended up calling and were told by someone at the hotel that a larger party had booked over their dates. So this is clearly something they regularly do - they do not honour bookings and will cancel last minute if they get a larger party or higher value booking with no regard for the guests who have booked time off work and flights. A short term money grabbing strategy and very risky for guests! I highly recommend not booking here and risking your trip being cancelled last minute! They’re super rude, super shady, big time wasters - avoid like the plague.

Beautiful rustic Baja getaway with amazing ocean views, friendly staff and a delightful restaurant. Unfortunately, our room reeked of sewer gas and the kitchen fan on the wall adjacent to our room ran obnoxiously loud on and off all day and evening. To remedy this, the front desk offered a room change to a remote and dark cellar of a room which we did not take. Instead we took a neighboring room where we still encountered the noise and occasional smell. I expect more for the price and complained which was met with a small deduction in our charge. IF I return, I would take one of the casita rooms which are independent of the main building. Other feedback I have for The White Lodge: softer music first thing in the morning, a full coffee bar with milks and stronger coffee and a water dispenser so guests need not ask for water repeatedly. If you rent a car, I recommend you get a 4 wheel/ all wheel for the rough dirt roads.

If you’re looking to enjoy the beauty of the East Cape, BCS. There is no better spot than The White Lodge. Surroundings are beautiful, accommodation super comfortable and truly unique. The restaurant menu was varied and the food was excellent. Staff were attentive and made everyday of my week stay a pleasure.

We went to Baja California Sur for the first time, and stayed in 4 different places in 8 days. The White Lodge was *the grand finale*!! The view of the sea (complete with a daily display of breaching whales) was spectacular, the food was delicious, the stay worked hard to keep us happy. My only tiny complaint might be the inconsistency of the internet connection....which gave me more opportunities to behold the beauty right in front of me instead of scrolling on a screen. :-)

Overall incredible experience. It's not a typical "luxury" resort, it's much more grounded and offers a truly unique experience that's based around disconnection and nature. The rooms were beautiful and we went to sleep every night to the sound and warmth of the fire burning in our fireplace. The restaurant was very accommodating to our vegan diet, something we struggled with everywhere else in Baja. We were there in late January and it was a constant whale show in front of the lodge all day long. Bring binoculars! The staff were incredibly kind throughout our stay and went out of their way to make out stay as pleasant as possible. The massage we got (Aztec massage) was also extremely professional and wonderful. My only complaint was that the hot water in the shower lasted a grand total of about 3-4 minutes, which was hardly enough for my wife and I even when we tried to shower together as fast as possible. The prices in the restaurant were also very high, which was a bummer as there were no other options in the area. Overall highly recommended!

After a somewhat adventurous and fun drive on Camino Cabo Este, we arrived at The White Lodge and were in awe. It's absolutely stunning and so relaxing. The nearby beach is also beautiful. This was a stop for us with teenagers on a road trip for only one night. I would have loved to add a second night :).
