great hotel too far from fun

Very nice hotel clean and safe, beautiful hotel and kind service .

The facilities are great and very modern. The breakfast was amazing and had, in fact, a big variety of choices.

Hotel muy limpio y acogedor. Personal muy atento y dispuesto a ayudar en todo lo necesario. Las habitaciones muy acogedoras y cómodas, se nota que los baños han sido reformados para hacerlos más confortables. El área de desayuno muy amplio y con variedad de frutas, embutidos, antes y bollería. Por poner una pega un poco a desmano del centro o zonas de ocio o restaurantes para ir andando.

Top, gostei mto, recomendo.

Carlos greeted us at the front desk with a smile. We had many different questions that he answered in detail and did not become annoyed with us. We were very pleased with the laundry service. The complimentary breakfast was impressive and memorable. All that being said the rooms have no insulation and you hear everything. Did I mention you hear everything?! The staff has nothing to do with the construction and are amazing. Unfortunately the service doesn’t make up for the sleepless nights.

The hotel is located about a 10-20 minute drive out of Porto Centre. Not a problem if you use the bus or Uber. Rooms and service are great, we had the biggest King bed we have every slept in. The bathroom is ok but the shower runs hot and cold and is not really wide enough to stand side on in. We had a luxury Escape package and breakfast was included. Great breakfast but a little short on variety. If you have booked a luxury escape with the half day river cruise. I am afraid you have been over sold. It is a 50 minute river crusie and we are very dissatisfied as this was the main reason we took the package. The one hour wine tasting is 30 mins by Uber and you have just two tastes of port. The hotel is great and staff but I have complained to Luxury Eacapes about the package. Tip: if you travel to the centre use an Uber

We had a brilliant stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and clean and modern and it was cleaned each day. Our room had AC too which was needed as temps were high for most of our trip. The room had 3 robes and slippers for us. Shampoo, body wash, body moisturiser and hairdryer are all in the bathroom. The rooftop pool was so nice. There’s a little bar there too for drinks and snacks. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are also so lovely and relaxing. Lots of towels available at both pools. The staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. We mostly got bolt taxis when we were going anywhere but the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. There’s a Lidl walking distance away too.

Very good hotel, spotlessly clean, lovely room, good food, lots of choice at the breakfast buffet. Two swimming pools. The hotel is in a nice area but a 15/20 minute walk to Porto cathedral (although there’s plenty to see on the way). Would definitely go there again.

My experience at this hotel left much to be desired. Right from the start, the reception staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful, particularly the man who was on at our arrival. I emailed ahead stating we would be arriving VERY early asked asked for an early check in but also stated I appreciate this won’t be 9am with our arrival, on arrival we walked up-to desk and I said we are checking in today and before I could finish the ride man said, check In starts at three you will need to come back! After a few more challenges we stored our bags in the luggage room and got changed in the toilets as because we were not checked in we couldn’t have a key card or access to the gym changing area! We arrived back to the hotel at 14:51 and we’re greeted with a it’s not checkin time yet so let me see if your room is ready!!!!! Luckily it was The discomfort continued in our room, where the air conditioner remained non-functional for the first two days, making the room unbearably hot. It wasn't until I expressed my frustration loudly after 2 days of polite chasing at the front desk that someone was sent to fix it. The quality of the bed was another issue – the springs in the mattress were palpable, leading to restless nights. On top of this, the Wi-Fi was frustratingly slow, making it challenging to stay connected. The condition of the pool was consistently subpar, with murky water and a lack of cleanliness. Communicating with the staff was a challenge due to their limited English proficiency, often requiring multiple attempts to convey simple requests. The room itself did not live up to expectations, lacking comfort and proper amenities. As someone who values a good hotel gym, the fitness center here was a major letdown. It lacked essential equipment, and the cable machine was out of order. To make matters worse, the elevator leading to the gym was also out of service. The hotel's location was far from ideal, situated a considerable distance from both the city center and the beach, making it inconvenient and isolated. This however is an observation and my poor choice of location In summary, this hotel, despite its appearance, should be rated as a 1-star establishment due to unfriendly staff, issues with room amenities, and a disappointing gym. It does not deliver value for its price, especially given its inconvenient location. And it’s hilarious that it is a 5 star hotel

Great hotel, comfortable with nice breakfast and a rooftop pool (open till 10) and rooftop bar (open till 1) Enjoyed staying here but I enjoy walking around so not as easy to do that. Excellent with bus pickup. Enjoyable stay and good weather
