I found the location of St Giles to be very convenient, especially if you're a fan of West End musicals. It’s close to Tottenham Court Road, Chinatown, and Covent Garden. The entrance isn’t located on a corner, and there’s an unobstructed pathway, which makes it feel safe and easy to navigate with baggage. I was also lucky enough to have a room with a view on the 5th floor. However, the facilities are somewhat limited. For example, toiletries only include a 3-in-1 shower gel, and slippers aren’t provided, possibly as an eco-friendly measure. Additionally, there aren’t enough lifts to handle the high traffic during peak hours, so addressing this would be beneficial. Overall, my experience at St Giles was great!

Good location in the city. Easy to arrive from Heathrow as the Elizabeth line stops right at Tottenham Court Road. Also easy to go to Gatwick - you can go to Victoria or Farringdon by tube and switch to the rails. However the building and rooms could be improved in quality. The elevator was very slow, and in the rooms the shower booth was small and the bathroom door did not close well.

The room was basic but adequate. I don’t think there are renovations being done at the moment (June 2024) but we were on the top floor and in an old style room. I was generally clean but dirty marks on the pillows. The bathroom however, was really smelly and not pleasant to use. Top floor not for those with vertigo!! That said it was a great location and staff were lovely. I expect the renovated rooms will be lovely (and more pricey). Value for money in the room we had was good.

We had a lovely stay at St Giles, London. Well located hotel, near to Tottenham Court Road Station, bus stops, supermarkets, shops, eateries, theatres etc. From Heathrow Airport, we took the Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road Station and hotel was just a short walk away. The British museum was also nearby. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. As we arrived rather early, Nikki helped us to secure a room earlier than official check in time, so that we can put our luggages and rest. The concierge guys were great, giving advice on how best to get to our destination. The Chinese gentleman, sorry, I didn't get his name, even helped me with my Bolt app bookings! We booked 2 new twin rooms. Although they were small, they were sufficient for 2 pax in each room. All amenities that we needed were available and rooms were cleaned thoroughly when we returned from our sightseeing. There was no air conditioner in the rooms but weather was great, so we had no issues. The breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety. Good choice for our short stay in London.

The standards rooms are worse than a 2 star hotel. It’s worth for the location. The one I had was horrible, also, they are doing some works and it was very noisy. I should have been warned at the check in. Bre and pastries from breakfast were soggy and dry. All of them! Horrible!

Location is everything for this hotel - it’s central to everywhere! Room is compact and small but functional and daily clean up was good. Lifts can be quite a wait during morning hours, so get a low floor if you don’t mind climbing the stairs, sometimes it is faster. Service is good and pleasant.

So, I’ve been a loyal customer of this hotel for over three decades, and I keep returning because of its exceptional location. However, this recent trip was quite different. Upon arrival, I was shown to room 200, which unfortunately lacked hot water in both the shower and the sink for the first two days. I promptly reported this issue to the hotel, and maintenance personnel informed me that it was a widespread problem within the hotel. In addition to the water issue, the Wi-Fi connectivity was severely compromised. Despite the fantastic reception staff’s efforts to provide me with the corporate login, which promised faster speeds, the low signal strength in my room rendered it unusable. Undeterred, I decided to switch rooms. Although the new room was significantly smaller, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Wi-Fi was impeccable, and the hot water was restored. Despite these minor setbacks, I will continue to stay at this hotel due to its prime location.

Overall very nice and tidy. Someone will tidy the room every day. And you can store your luggage, so you don’t have to carry your luggage to play. There is an underground and bus station nearby and it is very convenient to go to other places. Also, you can walk to Chinatown on foot for 11 minutes.
