Premier Inn Livingston (M8, Jct3)

Great hotel with really friendly staff would highly recommend. Also the location is great as it's about a 15 minute drive to the shopping centre

This premier Inn is situated just off the M8 but there is no traffic noise. A comfy hotel with friendly staff and a restaurant attached (busy around 5.30 to 7). Close to Livingston Retail Oultet and 20 minutes car ride to Ingliston Park and Ride where you can leave the car for free and catch the tram into Edinburgh for a day return of £3.80 to £5.

Stayed one night, check in was fast and staff were happy and helpful. Room was as expected, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and very reasonably priced. Ate an evening meal there too which was much better than I’d expected it to be. Decor felt a little dated but it didn’t make much difference to the stay. Very easy parking and not far from the motorway so was very convenient to travel to.

We booked the hotel for a night before a 4am flight from Edinburgh (We're from Newcastle) and it was great. Really happy with the room and the sleep we all got was incredible. My 2 boys are 3 and 4 and the 3 year old barely lasts 2 hours in his own bed or bed with his brother. He slept through until our 4am alarm in his own bed pushed up against his brother's bed. Score 4 for cleanliness as could see a cobwebs hanging down, looked like it was tried to be cleaned the way it hung but it didn't bother us, didn't make the room feel dirty or not cleaned. Loved the shower too, amazing shower. If we fly from Edinburgh again we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. The price for what we got and the distance and ease from the airport, very happy.

Good premier inn value. Check in was quoted and efficient. Lovely helpful lady on reception who was very helpful. Even managed to check in 15 minutes early. Bedroom clean, tidy and comfortable. Was warm without being overheated. Bathroom clean and tidy. Plenty hot water too. Beefeater next door for food.

Room was very basic. Fan in the bathroom was irritating. Toilet roll dispenser as opposed to rolls. Quite cold in the room. Restraunt - avoid if you can. Long wait times, evening meal poor value for money. Breakfast was not as expected. Waited too long to be seated, tables not cleaned down. Only 2 servers. No plates for continental. Lack of choices. Paid for the cooked breakfast ended up with a croissant and yoghurt from continental as the server took over 30 minutes to take any order so by this point I was fed up. Basic hotel, fine for a bed but not as expected from a premier inn.

Very friendly staff can't do enough for you. Rooms clean, just what you need for a good night's rest. Amazing shower although I found the bathroom cold. Nice hot all you can eat breakfast. Looking forward to my next stay. Had issues with the Beefeater but could not fault the Premier inn.

Premier Inn...reliable as ever for a bed for the night. All the usual Premier services available although the standard WiFi at this location was a bit slow. There is an option, at cost, to upgrade to a premium WiFi
