Absolute perfect place to stay,,felt like home ,I asked if I could check in early and it was no problem to them and come across a problem it was dealt with straight away, the owner is perfect and made us so welcome even made us our morning coffee,,would definitely recommend and will 100% be staying here again

NIGHTMARE! No information on how to get in and after a long wait (luckily being let in by other guests as it was cold), Paul showed up to tell me he's not accepting *********** reservations because they owe him money. This is clearly a lie as you can still very much book there on ***********. I'm guessing he could tell he made a mistake and I was probably not going to leave a great review, so this was his idea to deal with that. After asking if I could at least stay inside to sort this out instead of going in the cold, he unplugs my charger grabs my smartwatch and seems to put it in my bag and puts my bags outside. My smartwatch never made it from his hand to my bag. My sleep headphones that were charging also went missing after he grabbed them. YOU AND YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE HERE

Well this is a review about a booking that was never fulfilled. The owner mailed me to confirm my reservation. He told me that he would send me an invoice to make payment the day before our arrival. The day before arrival nothing had come. I messaged him to see where it was. He replied at 2am and said he had already sent it (which he had not) and our booking had been cancelled and I would have to find different accommodation. Bearing in mind there was a concert on in the city and Liverpool were playing Everton on this day. Not even an apology. I mailed him to say this was not acceptable and to look into it further. He replied 13hrs later when obviously I had had to make alternative arrangements. The only place I could find was £40 more than what we would have paid here and at least £60 more than if Id booked it 5 months earlier. So poorly dealt with it was unreal

So disappointed. We booked three days ahead of our stay, on the day we were due to travel, we missed a call at 6:45am! This was to inform us they were full, we had paid the wrong rate and they couldn't honour the booking. We had actually phoned them the day before to confirm all was ok. When I queried this, was told there was two Sarah's and it was mad busy so there had been an error. Whilst apologetic, this risked absolutely ruining our trip. When we booked, there were several rooms available, in fact, one room had a double and sofa bed, despite being bigger (and the same price), we choose what we assumed was smaller to help the owner as the bigger room accomadated three people and the room we choose only two. Look, mistakes happen, but it got worse. Owner then informed us that we needed to phone ********** to get a refund and also that they didn't actually use ********** - despite us booking through them. It took over an hour on the phone to get resolved - ********** confirmed the owner should have phoned them. Not good enough!

Stayed over for the open golf. No complaints. Good price nicely decorated. Complimentary snacks and drinks which was appreciated next morning. Good location. Good communication from owner. Shared bathroom but only 1 person I had to wait for so only 5 minutes wait for a shower. Worth the inconvenience for the location/price. Would stay again next time in Liverpool.
