Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa

From the moment we arrived, it was such a warm welcome! Straight away we were offered a welcome drink of our choice! We were shown to our room by the polite and helpful young man. Our room was beautiful! Many thoughtful touches, such as a stocked mini bar with water, Coca Cola, beers, water and an orange drink! All complimentary. Beach bag with flip flops, dressing gown and slippers, tea and coffee facilities, they even had an umbrella which I’m happy to see we didn’t need! Our room was a double with a private pool! The deck had table and chairs, drying rack and 2 comfortable sun beds, with a padded mattress! The sun bed has a little table which pulls out from the side! We also had beach towels provided! The steps in to the pool were nice, unlike other places I have stayed where they are a ladder. Breakfast! Wow!! The staff are all so friendly and attentive! The menu is lovely, I enjoyed the eggs Benedict, and the scrambled eggs with feta cheese! Both were so tasty! The buffet is to a high standard with a lovely variety of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit and hot food! The location is moments from the airport and we have enjoyed watching the planes come and go! There are a few tavernas dotted about nearby! We tried 2 and enjoyed the traditional offerings! The other 2 nights we went to Argostoli The bus stop is over the road from the hotel and down a bit, close to the beach entrance! 2 min walk. The times are on a board and they run on time! Overall I would highly recommend and absolutely return here! Thank you to all the staff for making this an enjoyable stay!

I’m not sure where to start with the compliments for this hotel. I cannot fault anything at all. The staff, hotel itself and location are amazing! We were slightly worried the resort would be too quiet & too close to the airport. We had nothing to worry about! The resort is beautiful with a stunning beach literally across the road, a bus into the busier resorts of Lassi and the capital Agostoli is also across the road. As the hotel is so stunning with sunset views, we didn’t feel the need to escape too much. There are also other restaurants within walking distance. The hotel and rooms are spotless, modern, equipped with everything you’ll need, most definitely deserving of five stars. The views from the hotel bar, restaurant & rooms are stunning. ALL the staff we encountered were extremely helpful, friendly and down to earth. The most relaxing hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is a brilliant base from which to explore Kefalonia. And the staff will go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing stay. I could go on about how much I loved this holiday but I’ll leave it here! Suffice to say we’re planning our return to the Electra hotel!

My daughter and I have just had the most lovely 4 night stay. The staff are warm, friendly, attentive and yet professional, giving the place a very welcoming and serene feel. The hotel is sparkly clean, our room was attended to every day and had everything we needed including a UK power socket! Electra is only 5 minutes from the airport, so no long transfer time. Yes, planes fly low over the hotel coming in to land, but I loved seeing them, and it’s not a busy airport. Breakfast buffet with menu options was absolutely delicious, and the Turquoise restaurant food in the evening was exceptional. We also ate at a couple of the nearby restaurants and one evening took a local taxi to another a bit further afield. The local taxi company has a €15 minimum fare. Argostoli is worth a visit, even just to see the turtles. €20 each way with local taxi company or a €2 bus that stops near the hotel. It’s very relaxing to just lounge by the hotel pool, the Cocktails and snacks are fab!! Ammes beach with sun loungers and beach bar is a 5 min walk. The hotel has towels you can take with you, just ask at the bar on your way out, and pop them in the poolside hamper when you get back. I agree the hotel has a grown up’s only feel. However, we saw a couple with a toddler in a high chair at breakfast one morning, and the staff were lovely with them. The Electra Hotel, Kefalonia is surprisingly tranquil and a really great place to stay, despite it being so close to the airport. When landing in Kefalonia, you literally fly over the Hotel and gently glide on to the runway. (There are only a few flights each day, it makes you wonder at the power of Airplanes). It was very non intrusive in my opinion. My friend and I had the most relaxing holiday ever together in Kefalonia at the Electra. It's a super location in a very quiet area next to Svoronata Beach, with great local restaurants within walking distance. And only 35 mins by bus to Agristoli the capital, a beautiful small city, 10K inhabitants, where you can take trips around this stunning quiet green Island. The whole Electra Hotel Team were outstanding in the delivery of Hospitality, they were very professional, helpful, kind, fun and genuinely interested to give us a great guest experience. On our arrival at the Front Desk we got a genuine warm welcome from Giorgos, who was extremely conscientious, thorough and eager to take good care of us like we were part of the Hotel family. He helped us with any queries we had about the Hotel and the Island trips, he made excellent recommendations to suit us. His colleagues Emilios, & Kosmas, were very helpful and attentive. The Housekeeping team, Marianna, Athena, Anna, Sofia, Bina & Kusum, delivered a very high standard of service, very hardworking and very pleasant people. Alexis K., the Executive Chef and his team, Koukoulas, Aggelos, Giorgos, Nikitas & Barbara were very attentive, providing an excellent choice of food, lovely tasting food, presentation and service each day. At the Spa Emma was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable & together with Antonia they are wonderful therapists and provided us with excellent Massages, Facials and lots of great information and products without overselling. The Food & Beverage Team led by Manager Alexis F, delivered a top quality, discreet service. They were full of fun and always knew when to leave the guests alone. The complete team, Zoi, Rigas, Marialena, Michalis, Thankasis are one of the best cohesive teams I have ever come across in all my years in Recruitment for Hospitality. They were good to one another, happy together and it came across to the guests in the atmosphere and quality service. The Maintenance team of Giorgos & Thanasis really deserve great credit for the upkeep and care they take in their management of the property, it's immaculate and they do their work so quietly every day. We didn't really know what to expect, but our stay at the Electra Hotel was truly a wonderful relaxing experience in this beautiful boutique Hotel (36r) Certainly if you choose Kefalonia, I highly recommend you stay here. My husband Stuart and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 10 nights on 12th June for our first visit to the stunning island Kefalonia. Delicious breakfast every morning with lots of choice and stunningly gorgeous room with attention to detail everywhere. Cleaners were exceptional every day. The pool was lovely and very comfortable sunbeds. Only two things really I would point out was the sunbeds were too close together as they could possibly expand other sides of the pool with more beds and I didn’t visit the spa as felt the prices were too expensive and I also felt I was being pushed into purchasing treatments. Overall though it was a gorgeous hotel with very attentive waiter service and exceptional friendly service from the receptionists Kosmas and Petros .

Had a great trip to Svorenata , first time we have visited and won’t be the last . Hotel is very nice but open to a few minor improvements. The pool decking area for sun beds needs to be extended , sun beds are about a foot apart and sometimes none available when busy . The pool doesn’t open until 11:00 but you can use the loungers before that - it was 42 degrees most days we were there and 30 at 0900 so you were desperate for the pool to open to close ok down . The prices for drinks are very expensive 12 euros for a short and mixer - hence why there is never more than 2 or 3 people in the bar - so if your looking for atmosphere or meeting people this is not the hotel for that. On the plus side the staff were friendly and very attentive especially the receptionists and porter who were very helpful . Nice but I would say more 4 star than 5 .

Swish and extremely comfortable boutique hotel. Great staff, very friendly and attentive, and a superb breakfast overlooking the sea. Rooms are very well designed, with superbly comfy beds and top quality linens - looked after by zealous maids. The setting near the airport didn't bother me at all, and I quite enjoyed watching the planes coming in to land. The grounds are beautifully laid out and planted, good pool and daily pool towel service. I wasn't in a private pool room and found the communal sun lounger area a little cramped. Probably best to hire a car, though the bus stop for Lassi and Argostoli is just across the road. Other than that, this is an excellent hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Electra very much , all the staff do there upmost to ensure you have an enjoyable time. Our room was perfect, also the lovely view to wake up to. The planes did not affect our stay . The lawns are kept immaculate, although I do think it is a lot of wasted space which could be used for a few more sunbeds at the end close to the pool as a previous reviewer had already mentioned . I don’t think there would not be enough beds in high season . Also if you stay with children there would not be much for them to do apart from the pool which is not very deep. We do hope to return next year as it is a lovely hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday enjoyable.

We had the most fabulous week here. Every member of staff were very friendly and helpful especially Efi who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was perfect - every little detail had been thought of. The hotel is in a great position, there is a small beach down the road and lots of very good tavernas to choose from. The planes didn’t bother us at all.
