Words can’t even expressed how thankful I am to everyone who has helped me during my stay! First of all, I don’t speak mandarin. I can understand only very little so there was a huge language barrier.
The staff were amazing! They were so helpful even when they couldn’t speak English, they went out of their way to try and communicate with me to help me out. I had Google translate and they would try their best to do the same with the translation app.
There was a day where I had altitude sickness and asked if I could have housekeeping service to come later in the afternoon.. I communicated via WeChat and they sent someone to my room to make sure I was ok and asked if I needed company to go to the hospital. The staff were super friendly, helpful and thoughtful! They were the main reason I really enjoyed my stay.
Housekeeping was also great. There were a few offs but that’s very minor. For example, not providing extra toilet roll when it was running low so I ended up using boxed tissue that was in the room one night.
Room has oxygen supply, air humidifier, provided toothbrush, tooth paste, comb, soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, slippers, bathrobes, 4x 520 ml bottles of water a day, has a small refrigerator, my room has an awesome view of the mountains.
Location was superb! It was literally less than 5 mins walk to Barkhor Street and probably around 5 mins walk to Potala Palace.
There’s also a tour service at the hotel. A gym with mainly cardio equipment but you won’t be able to exercise much due to the high altitude situation. I tried to be a little active and walked on the treadmill on some days.
The entire stay was wonderful! I would highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again! Thank you so much to all the caring and helpful staffs! I will be forever thankful for their warmth and kind service!
