The service we received at this hotel be deserving of a NEGATIVE number if that was an option. We prepaid through trip.com and had a credit card with proper ID for checking in and providing a credit card for preauthorization incase of any "incidentals". The girl working the front desk checked me in and then after only about 5 mins in my room the girl from the front desk and her manager came to my room and kicked us out!!! Their reason for this???? They don't rent to people that have local addresses on their ID. NO LOCALS are allowed to get a hotel room.
I was shocked, surprised and ticked right off!! So because I'm local my partner and I can't rent a room for a lil "staycation" when we feel like we want to escape the 3 teenagers at home!? We aren't rich so we wanted to simply get a cheap room for a couple nights/days of privacy away from the chaos that comes with a home full of teenagers!! Super 8 says NO. We are not allowed to do that. The manager very rudely told us to get our belongings and leave. She told us to contact trip.com regarding a refund for the room we paid for online and the $50 they preauthorization they put on my card would be refunded. She then turns with her nose in the air and walked away. It was an unbelievably stressful experience that turned what was supposed to be a relaxing lovely night with my partner into the exact opposite. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even my worst enemy as Super 8 in Lethbridge doesn't deserve ANYONE'S money!!
