Glazert Country House Hotel

This is my second time staying at the hotel while away on business. The rooms are of a lovely size and very comfortable, everything required is in the room. Toiletries, iron and ironing board. But the best aspect is the spa bath. This time I had a corner spa bath which was just lovely after a day out working. Also the bathroom has a tv in so relaxing in the bath watching tv is a dream. The restaurant is very quaint, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. And the food!!! I had a burger which the menu says they make on site and I have to say one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time, absolutely delicious! I have had a very comfortable stay and I look forward to staying again on my next visit. So thank you to all the team at The Glazert Country House Hotel for making my stay 300 miles from home a pleasure.

I popped in tonight with my wife and son and although it was very busy , I managed to get a table , we were put through to the back dining area which is very nice , it was jumping and still the service was amazing , I had the mushroom bruschetta , followed by bear battered fish and chip , honestly couldn’t fault it , I was here on Thursday lunchtime with my mum and sister and again great service and wonderful food ,if you would like a change of restaurant or cafe , try the Glazert bank , top marks ,

Restaurant review only: busy, cosy, lovely staff, good selection of wine. Menu typically pub grub, usual mains with specials. I had the roast beef - sorry to say not great at all, I could hardly get my knife through it ! This unfortunately is the second time I’ve had this so no more. The veg, gravy etc lovely but beef tough as old boots, One other issue apart from the food are the toilets- far too small/narrow, honestly they are terrible & I know I’m not the only one who has this issue having spoken to friends & family. Please do something about them.

Excellent stay. I was staying over as I was volunteering at a festival nearby, from the moment I arrived I was made welcome. From housekeeping who were very accommodating to the friendly bar team nothing was too much trouble. Although here on my own I will definitely come back for a stay with my husband as not only was the stay excellent the food was lovely and at a very reasonable price with large portions.

Had so many meals in here over the years and it never disappoints! Great choice on the menu whether it be a soup/sandwich at lunchtime or the most amazing steak pie for dinner. The food is always scrumptious… We held my dad’s wake here last January & all the staff inc the owners were amazing at ensuring everything ran perfect on the day! Would highly recommend this space if in need for a function of any kind. This is definitely one of our favourite local restaurants, can’t recommend the place enough for fabulous food and service at very reasonable prices… Look forward to our next visit!! X

This is the third year that we have stayed at the Glazert Country House Hotel en route to and from the Highlands on our annual holiday. For us it is an ideal stopping off point. Most importantly, this is a dog welcoming establishment and our dogs are as comfortable staying here as we are. The staff are amazing and really go out of their way to help. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the beds are especially comfortable. On each visit we have eaten dinner at the hotel and it has always been delicious! The breakfasts are also lovely and really set us up for the journeys ahead. We certainly recommend this hotel and would like to thank the staff for making our stays so lovely. We hope to be back before long.
