Apartamentos LIVVO Las Gaviotas

The apartments here are really nice. Fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom and nice sized living area. Everywhere was clean and towels were changed regularly. Shower was good, balcony area is a good size and totally private. We could see the sea from our room. The food was ok, something for everyone, you wouldn't go hungry. Bit noisy of a morning as a lot of people were there for just bed and breakfast and it got quite crowded. The restaurant could do with a bit of an uplift and re-design as it looked more like a canteen and I believe this is something currently under review. The entertainment room of an evening didn't have much atmosphere although it was only January so can't comment on what it's like later in the season. The entertainment itself was hit and miss but I suppose it depends on what you like. It's a 10 minute walk down to the beach area with bars and restaurants. You need to go out of the gate at the back of the hotel by the pool with the little bridge over it. You can have a nice little walk along the prom. All in all, a nice time was had by us all and as it's so near to the airport there's no travelling for hours when your flight has landed.

We arrived 4th January 2025, we checked I quite quickly, the lady at the reception was very kind and called a colleague to take us to our apartment which was a few hundred yards up the road, as it was dark when we arrived and we didn't know where we were going. The apartment was fantastic, just refurbished, right by the pool, everything was just right. The walk to the shops and the restaurants was only three or 400 m away and took about 10 minutes at a nice, slow pace. There are loads of bars, restaurants, shops, bike, car hire just in one place. The walk along the promenade was great nice easy walking. Cleaning at the apartment was done regularly as was towel changes. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and the pool was also good, cold but once in, no problem. We enjoyed our 2 week stay so much, that today we have booked to go back to the apartments in the summer. We stayed here in July 2024, we booked it last minute and got a good deal via jet 2. We was a family of 4 - two adults and two children age 3 and age 5. All I can say was WOW… It was so relaxing, right next to the beach and the airport, the rooms were very very clean. It was like being at home but on holiday it was so comfortable. The apartment was so spacious, and you could sunbathe with the sun loungers on your porch area too! Each block had their own swimming pool, the kids loved it, best part about it is that it wasn’t crowded. There was a bar area at the pool which had lovely snacks, food, and especially cocktails! The shops and restaurants were literally a few minutes walk, there’s also a little arcade. There’s more restaurants and shops further round the main road about 10/15 mins walk. Being right next to the airport was a bonus if you love watching the planes fly right over the beach, approx 10 mins walk down the path you can watch the planes landing at the airport, the kids loved it. There’s a little park for kids. There’s also family bikes. Our sister in law stayed in another hotel in Puerto de Carmen, so we visited each other regularly , 10 mins taxi ride, very cheap. She preferred our apartments to her hotel, she said it was perfect and the location was better as where she was was very very hilly, but at these apartments it’s not at all which was also better for the kids. The staff were very very friendly and helpful, we had a late pick up time for the flight home so was able to keep our suitcases a secure room free of charge. We would 100% recommend to anyone who would like a more relaxing family holiday, perfect for couples too, and perfect area for people who need a more accessible holiday I.e. wheelchair users. There are things to do in other areas i.e. water parks, zoos etc. but unfortunately we missed out as the package including transfers where only on certain days, and we only enquired a couple of days before going home so I’d say if you’re looking for a day/trip out enquire about them first thing! The spontaneous last minute decision was 100% worth it. Thank you so much for making our first holiday as a family of 4 one to remember!

This is an honest review of my own experience. I’ve never had reason to complain with Tui however after this holiday it was my first time. Do not book these apartments. Paid extra for a “ superior bungalow “ and after checking in the bungalow was dark, old and the sun loungers on the terrace must have been 10+ years old, filthy and cracked. When questioning what was superior about the bungalow was told “ superior means closer to the beach “ - right ok; but that wasn’t explained when booking. Tui did provide a partial refund due to the absolute horror of these apartments. Mattress where disgusting and you sunk into them ( not in a good way ). When complaining was told mattress’ where only 2 months old ( lie ). Constantly drilling and banging from bungalow next door. Fixtures and fittings falling in room where marked and falling down. Cleaner was a waste of time, didn’t mop the floors - during the night using the toilet and back my feet where black ! Didn’t dare walk around bungalow without sliders on. Everytime we used the shower it flooded the whole bungalow !! Not just the bathroom. When complaining the receptionists answer was “ don’t put the shower tap on all the way “. Pools freezing cold - all of them unusable. Rude receptionist - her attitude was appalling and confrontial all the time. Honestly I’m a frequent visitor to lanzarote and I didn’t expect much with it been 3* but you can get better accommodation elsewhere. Don’t book these bungalows.

We stayed at Livvo Las Gaviotas in January and had a great stay. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly and efficiently. We stayed in a superior apartment, in block 3, which was very clean and had most things needed for a self catering stay. We emailed in advance a few requests, all of which were accommodated, this made our stay more enjoyable. We have already booked for next year and would definitely recommend this complex.

Spent a week in Block 8 in Las Gaviotas and it was a quite enjoyable experience. Check in was easy the receptionest gave us all the details about the complex and arranged for tansport to take us to our accomodation. The rooms were large and bright and it had been cleaned to a high standard. Some defects soon arose. The doors didnt close properly. The bathroom door would shut but you had to force it, likewise the bedroom door. It didnt spoil the holiday but I thought it worth mentioning. The cupboards were rather high as well. The beds were really comfy. There was only one pillow and a sunlounger was broken but one phone call and more pillows were delivered and sunlounger was speedily fixed. Good service. The sun terrace was a sun trap, really good. The day before checking out I went to arrange transport and was told that she would arrange for a taxi to pick us up at our appartment and just leave the keys inside. All in all a good stay.
