TTamuReally Disappointing Communication, But Decent Hostel Overall
I contacted the hotel through Trip.com a week before my arrival but they never responded. I also sent two direct emails with no reply, and when I tried calling, the number didn’t work, not even when a Mongolian with a local SIM card tried. They claim to offer a shuttle service, but my request was ignored, then rejected bia trip.com, and I had to arrange my own transport. Only ONE HOUR BEFORE my flight departed did they finally message me saying they could arrange it, which was far too late to be useful. Also they couldn't be trusted at all. Communication and customer service were extremely extremely poor. Wondering if they ignore requests on purpose and they just cant be bothered replying to emails and messages?
My check-in was quite late, around 1:00 am, and since their website says check-in is only until midnight, I just wanted confirmation it was okay, but they ignored all my messages.
That said, the hostel itself is decent. The capsule beds are comfortable, even though my USB charger did not work. The showers are ok, and breakfast was ok too. Special thanks to the morning reception ladies who were kind and helped me get a Unitel SIM card.
To be noted that it is not even allowed to drink alcohol in the lobby, not even to quietly have a beer with someone else. I understand it is not a party hostel, but this rule feels a bit exaggerated.
Left after 1 night and went somewhere else where they offered a much better service

TTamuThe hotel seems a bit worn out despite being renovated not long ago. The lifts had see-through walls that show non-plastered wall, which was strange, but I didn't ask about it. Bath towels were frayed at the edges. Saw a loose nail from the furniture on the floor. Never got the morning call that I requested. The driver they booked to send me to the airport did not turn up but the front desk personnel got me another set of wheels to the airport. Otherwise, it looks like he was about the drive me there himself, which I appreciated. What I like about the hotel is its location, walking distance to the square, Gobi cashmere and convenient store etc. In addition, the hotel doesn't seem to be overly crowded, so it is easier with the lifts and breakfast.

TTamuThe hotel has a great location. Using the UBcab app, a taxi costs about two or three US dollars to get to the city center.
The hotel is located on the 11th to 13th floors, with a shopping mall and two floors of restaurants downstairs. However, most restaurants close around 7 PM, so you'll need to go to nearby restaurants.
Although the room is right next to the train tracks, there's no noise from midnight until 6 or 7 AM. Trains don't run frequently outside of these hours, so I, who's sensitive to noise, didn't need the earplugs provided by the hotel.
We booked a quad room, which was spacious and beautifully decorated.
The two single beds were located in a dead corner of the room, and the comforter was too thick, so the air conditioning wasn't working properly, making it a bit warm!
We saw two insects, which was a bit surprising!
The air conditioner malfunctioned for two consecutive nights. On the first night, the staff arrived and contacted someone else, and it was back to normal after about ten minutes. On the second night, the air conditioner stopped working again (the screen didn't display the temperature), but it suddenly returned to normal after about ten minutes. I called the staff online, but it suddenly returned to normal. I hope the hotel addresses this issue!
We rented for four days and three nights. The room was serviced on the second day, but not on the third.
The young male receptionist at the front desk spoke good English and was very polite. He deserves our praise!
