PPengguna AnonimThis was my first time staying at this hotel (chosen because it is top-rated), but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me as a business traveller. Apart from the central location, the stay did not meet my expectations.
I booked a double-bed room and requested the second floor with a temple view. The staff informed me that the second floor was fully booked, and even the double-bed rooms were unavailable, so they gave me a twin room (no. 3) and pushed the beds together. The only good part was that the room still had a partial temple view from the window. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but there were no basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, razor, or comb unless requested at reception.
I returned to the hotel close to midnight after a long day, only to find the reception closed, no staff available, and no information on how to contact anyone. There was also no in-room phone. I had to walk barefoot on the cold hard floor, could not brush my teeth, and could not request an iron to prepare for my meeting the next morning.
In the morning, staff were still not present at 6:00 AM when I needed toiletries. When they finally arrived, I overheard the housekeeper saying they had run out of stock and that I should “go buy it outside,” which made me feel quite unwelcome as a guest paying a high room rate. The receptionist then repeated the same message without offering any guidance on where to buy items.
Additionally, while the hotel claims to reduce single-use amenities for environmental reasons, they still provide drinking water in plastic bottles instead of glass — something that should be improved.
I would like to compliment the staff member on duty on the morning of the 12th Nov 2025 at around 6:00 AM. I wanted to prepare food for almsgiving, and he kindly gave me helpful advice. He even went to ask a nearby vendor to bring the items I needed so that I could receive the service conveniently. I truly appreciate his assistance and excellent service.
Overall, the lack of essential amenities, poor service availability, and unprofessional attitude made my stay uncomfortable. This will be my first and last stay at this hotel.

CChou LeSatri House – A Living Museum You Can Sleep In
Staying here feels like stepping into a beautiful dream from another era. Every corner is a work of art. The furniture, the layout, the little details—they all whisper stories of old Indochine charm. It doesn’t feel like a hotel. It feels like you’re actually living in a graceful, historic home.
The architecture is stunning, and the garden and pool are simply gorgeous. Peaceful, timeless, and so beautifully kept.
The staff are warm and genuinely kind. We used the bikes from the resort to explore town, and it added so much joy to the experience.
Breakfast is à la carte, and each dish was delicious—thoughtfully prepared, never rushed. And somehow, every time we stepped out, we came back to a perfectly cleaned room. It’s the kind of care you don’t often see.
Satri House isn’t just a stay—it’s a feeling. One I won’t forget.

TTamuThis was my third stay at Pullman Luang Prabang in 2025 (the previous visit was several months ago). The grounds remain attractive and the setting outside town is relaxing in theory, but several aspects of this stay did not match the standard of my earlier visits .
Food & beverage changes
The menu appears to have been revamped since my last stay, and the previous dessert display at the bar is gone. While others in my group were generally satisfied with their dishes, my Pad Thai was of poor quality (with clumped noodles and an off taste), and the new carrot cake dessert was not to my liking (to put it mildly).
Dining logistics & bar policy
When we arrived around 1 p.m. on a Monday, the main restaurant was being cleaned, with no tables available and no advance notice that it would be unavailable at that time. We were seated instead in the bar/lobby area, which was not what we had planned after traveling and expecting a proper lunch. In the evenings, the restaurant only served beer and wine; cocktails required going to the bar counter in person, and a Negroni requested one night was ultimately not available. Their cocktail selection is in fact quite limited.
Communication & WhatsApp usage
Guests are provided with a WhatsApp number described as being for “any” questions, which gives the impression of direct access to the front desk. When I used it to report a room issue, the reply explained that this channel is actually for Reservations and advised me to call the front desk instead, which felt inconsistent with how it had been presented (although they did still assist).
Room condition & maintenance
Of the two rooms booked, one had a noticeable odor that persisted throughout the stay. The in-room safe in that same room did not function properly; maintenance reset it and it worked briefly, but the error returned within a few minutes, so I ended up using the safe in the other room.
Noise & atmosphere
Although the property is located about 15 minutes from the city center and is positioned as a relaxing getaway, music from nearby (outside the hotel) could be heard clearly from the pool area on multiple occasions. This clashed with the quiet resort feel at times.
Pullman Luang Prabang was previously one of my preferred options in LP, but this stay felt less consistent and polished compared to earlier visits.

TTamuWe enjoyed our stay at the 3 star Mekong Charm Hotel, so we decided to stay two night longer than planned. The location is wonderful. The breakfast Terrace is directly above the Mekong river.
The hotel manager lives for her work and is very helpful and friendly. We had nothing to care for. She organized a motorcycle and our train trip to Vientiane. If we come back to Luang Prabang this hotel will be our first choice.

TTamuGreat location near the center. Very spacious family room and pretty baby bed. Smal but good and tasty breakfast spread. Good size swimming pool for swimming a few laps. Only down side is the water pression in the shower is not very strong.

TTamuThe hotel was lovely, conveniently located near the night market and restaurants, yet tucked away from the main road. The rooms were spacious, clean, and boasted comfortable beds. Breakfast offered a good selection of high-quality items. A welcome drink and fruit were provided upon arrival. The staff were very helpful, providing us with information about local attractions, and we easily rented a moped from the hotel for 180k. The pool area was pleasant, though mostly shaded. Some noise from the main garden area was audible through gaps in the doors, but the hotel was generally quiet, so it wasn't a significant issue.
