TTamuA very classic hotel, a bit shabby and old-fashioned at the price of a premium hotel. Really too expensive compared to the service offered..
The paid parking lot (900 yen/day) is not big enough, when it is full, you have to go to a private parking lot not far from the hotel, and then go to the reception to get a free voucher. Very impractical...
The breakfast is good, especially for seafood (except coffee and pastries), but the room is too small compared to the capacity of the hotel. People often queue to access it.

TTamuGreat hotel but very little English spoken by the staff. Location is convenient for fast food and Fisherman’s Wharf and farmers market.
A word of advice. Choose a larger room. I was there for several days and appreciated the extra room. I saw some of their standard room and they sure looked a bit small. Kuchiro is a compact city and easy to walk around on foot. This is a nice hotel. Restaurant is good, but breakfast buffet has very small potions to take. They are also very strict on their closing time. They expect you out when the restaurant is set to close.
All in all I think the best choice in Kuchiro.

TTamuThis hotel is very new, local next to the bus terminal and actually part of the hotel is used for the bus office / terminal. They provide free drinks (including alcohol) from 3pm to 9pm in the restaurant, enjoy when it is available.
The breakfast has a limited choice, but it is a buffet. The public bath is shared between men and women with time slots. Around 300 yen for washing but drying is free. The room was rather small but they put a huge double decker bed with a king size bed in the bottom, it was a comfortable sleep but not much room to move in the room. Key is using a number lock system which is quite interesting. A super huge TV in the room mounted to the wall. My room is facing east and I able to see sunrise in the morning.
Note that there are quite a few pot holes from the train station to the hotel. During that day, when I move my luggage to the hotel, the wheels get stuck into a new filled pot hole and travellers need to be aware.

Staff could not speak English. Room was very small. The hotel almost kissed the building of next door for those rooms below 5th floor. I was on the 4th floor, hence, I could only see the outside environment from a very narrow gap. WIFI was not strong in every part of the room. Be patient to walk around for the stronger WIFI connection. Not many shops around.

TTamuWe booked this hotel for its proximity to the Kushiro train station and bus station (these were just opposite the hotel) which saved us the walking in snowy conditions. The triple room we booked was surprisingly bigger than I would imagine for a typical Japanese hotel. We tried the hotel breakfast and it was good for value and have a spread of food choices. The staff were friendly and despite of language barrier, we managed to be able to request for assistance. I would like to thank Ryoyo for his help in checking for alternative bus to Sapporo due to train suspension and he further helped to contact our Sapporo hotel to inform that we will arrive later due to unforeseen train suspension. As per other reviews about the attitude of the hotel staff, I personally feel that they are really helpful but might appear rude to foreigners as they are not good at expressing themselves. The hotel has a manga corner and amenities shelf which you can grab special hair amenities and other types of pillows. There is also free washing machine which my husband used it daily to wash his clothes, free onsen and coffee. Overall, this hotel has great amenities and facilities. The famous tourist attractions were within walking distance from the hotel (MOO/ EGG/ Nusamai Bridge about 15-20mins walk).

TTamuThe female staff could speak English and very throughly explained everything. We stayed 2 nights. The outdoor hot spring is amazing. Breakfast is delicious, view is great.

TTamu5月に初めて利用させていただきました。
駐車場も広く、大浴場もいい感じだったので今回は迷わず予約しました。駅まで歩いてすぐの距離なのでホームにある湿原の鐘、綺麗な夕日も見れました。
朝食は広々としていてガラス越しに朝日も入り、1日の始まりには良いですね。スタッフさんも感じの良い方ばかりで是非また行きたいと思ってます。
部屋からの眺めも良かったです。
