TTamuI cannot recommend Candeo Hotels Nankai Wakayama enough! Its super convenient, just a few steps to the JR/Nankai lines and if the trains take too long to come, a few more steps and you're at the bus interchange! The service staff is awesome, room is huge and breakfast is yummy! The coin laundry is super affordable but there's only 2 washers & 2 dryers so to avoid ”peak hour”, better start early or go late. Its on the same floor as the baths and oh my God, the outdoor bath at night in winter is awesome!

TTamuLocation 8/10: close to the JR station where the buses are as well. close to a convenient store where you can buy all your necessities. for those who wants to take a taxi, there's one station nearby. Restaurants are a little too far, the closest sento is a little too far. Staff 8/10: mostly self services, teas and water and other stuff near the check in counter. they have staff to clean your beds for your, if you wish (open or close the door to your bed in the morning). facilities 5/5: Shower, sinks, and toilets are very clean. They provide the towels for every night you stay there.

TTamuThe room is huge which is out of our expectation, lots of spaces for luggage, the room got everything you need which camee to our surprise, like cables with various plug, different texture if rubber band, all sort of facial care, and different flavours of body shower, shampp and conditioner etc. theres even a supply station at the lobby if you still find not enough; as well as a drinks machine, which u can get coffee, matcha, chocolate and so on, it really made our day. The hotel is around 15 mins walk from JR station, there is convenient shop nearby, it wont be a big problem if you drive, theres a free parking at the hotel as well.

TTWYCThe hotel is situated at a secluded corner of Wakayama prefecture. It is much preferable to drive here rather than relying on the infrequent hotel shuttle. Public transport is otherwise non existent. There are no restaurants around the hotel. However the hotel provides delicious meals with abundant fresh seafood. The in room dining experience is superb. The hotel staff service is impeccable. The room has a spectacular sea view allowing you to see the sunset on clear days. The onsen also faces the sea which provides a relaxing experience. A downside is that the hotel does not seem to sanitize the slippers for indoor use. All hotel guests had to change to their slippers to access their indoor facilities.

TTamuFabulous seaside view and nice Japanese traditional style onsen with Seaview. They also switch male and female side every day so you can enjoy both onsen in one trip. Their check out time is 10am and check in around 15:00 so the time you can enjoy is a little limited. But I would recommend you take the breakfast and dinner inclusive to have the whole experience and it is quite far away from any food and no convenient transport except transfer to city center every morning.
