"Lamu House is truly unique in the warmth, positivity and kindness of the staff. We were treated and looked after like family; the staff really could not have gone above and beyond to look after us. A special thanks to Joyce, Esther, Hulda, Benson, Cecil and David. The hotel itself is magnificent ((photos do not do it justice) and the food sublime. The location is perfect for exploring Lamu Old Town and Shela is easily accessible by boat (which Lamu House arranged.) It was so very sad to leave this inimitable gem of a hotel. We would highly recommend Lamu House to anyone travelling to the island and we shall definitely be returning!"

"Amazing place to stay in Lamu! The rooms are big and very clean, the public sitting areas are beautiful and perfect to enjoy the cool breeze at the evening overlooking the town. The breakfast ist superb and sufficient - every day fresh fruits, juices and pancakes or omeletts. All the things worth seeing in Lamu as well as all the shops are in walking distance. For me most importanly: I really loved the spirit of this place! The best of all is the Host - he helps amazingly friendly with everything: booking trips, explaining ways to go to the beaches and information over the prises, pcr tests, booking flights, exchanging money, just everything! He organises free of cost pick up from the airport. He also gives a lot of useful information over all the good and important restaurants and cafes in Lamu with tips where they serve alcohol and where you can enjoy a vegetarian meal."

"Loved this majestic place whice combine old and new. Sea views of tides qnd great team. I stayed 3 days wish for more. Got a lift to airport and tasty meals. This hotel is in the middle of Lamu town so you can have thee sound of the life there. Very recommended"

"Stayed at JamboHouse for 3 nights. Was picked up at the airport which made it super easy to catch a boat to Lamu! Greeted by Arnold who told me in detail about the range of tours, restaurants and areas to visit on Lamu which was very useful! The rooms were basic but clean with a safe box and two fans. Very comfortable to stay in and great location if you want to stay in Old town Lamu :) the outdoor seating area was lovely and clean Breakfast was great with juice, fruit, tea, coffee and a variety of eggs and toast. Went on the sunset walk with Zion the guide and it was lovely! Tried some coconut wine at the locals bar in the village on the way to the sand dunes and saw a lovely sunset. Would recommend to friends and family "
