The hotel is right in front of the sightseeing boat, which is very convenient. The sea view room was great, the view was endless. The room was quite comfortable. The air conditioner is a bit loud, so those who are sensitive to sound should wear earplugs. The air conditioner may blow onto the bed, but if you sleep with your head and feet upside down, you won't be blown by the wind.

I booked a month in advance and noted that I wanted a room on the third floor or above, but they still arranged a room on the third floor. I asked why! Answer: It was fully booked for several months, so I was skeptical! The service is really good. They even arranged a car to take me to the station this morning. The breakfast and dinner are also very nice! The room has a private hot spring bath, as well as a stereo and CD. The overall feeling is quite good! There is a coffee machine next to the smoking room downstairs. I take a few puffs of coffee every day after brewing it, which is great!

Must stay hotel! Clean and view are fascinating. The hotel person is kind and helpful. We managed to get a great view in our room on our anniversary. Facilities are amazing, onsen is wonderful. If I can give 10 stars I will give ten stars 😂🥹❤️

The resort is split between the Main Building and the newer Wing Building. The Main Building exudes a more traditional atmosphere, while the Wing Building presents a contemporary take on relaxation, but both are bound together by their dedication to Ainu motifs—from the intricately designed lift doors to the towels, celebrating the indigenous culture of Hokkaido. The onsen baths are, without a doubt, the crown jewel of the resort. In the Main Building, the basement offers an extraordinary variety of baths, from the enchanting Cave Bath to the rustic Log Bath, carved from a thousand-year-old tree. The Bubble Bath delivers a gentle, soothing soak, but the Massage Bath steals the show. With water shooting from a high ceiling, targeting sore muscles in the shoulders and back, it’s a deeply therapeutic experience. On the 8th floor, the sauna is housed in a stunning dome-shaped glass structure, offering unobstructed views of the sky while you steam. However, the real spectacle lies at the basement’s open-air bath, which directly overlooks Lake Akan. The sight of the lake at dawn, with the morning mist hovering above the water, is nothing short of breathtaking. The Wing Building showcases a more modern onsen experience, headlined by its hot stone sauna. It blends traditional and contemporary design, featuring hot and cold stone rooms adorned with intricate Ainu-inspired motifs. Well located in the town centre and just in front of lake. The boat dock is downstair and visible from your room. Opposite the hotel there are two convenient stores and several restaurants within easy walking distance. Car park is free. You will have a high chance to see dears near public car parking area, especially in the morning when less people get in and out. Breakfast was okay without any surprise.

Shin-Akan is obviously an old hotel. The buffet is OK. The highlight is that there is a large public outdoor swimming pool upstairs. It is mixed for men and women. You need swimsuits. The hotel has prepared them. You can wear theirs. There are swimsuits in the bathroom, or you can wear your own. The open-air hot spring is quite good. You basically take a bath in the hotel's hot spring. The bathroom is very small. In winter, Lake Akan is completely frozen. Maybe because of the weather, you can hardly see any scenery. It is more fun to play snowmobiles and snow sleds. The hotel has a very big problem, because there is a self-service grill for dinner, and many people will grill meat. The restaurant is completely open on the first floor, making the whole building full of the smell of barbecue, which is very bad.

Arrived at Kushiro in the evening, just in time for the sunset. From the high-rise rooms, you can see the sunset of the entire city, and the sunrise in the morning is also super beautiful. It has been almost 15 years since I last came to Kushiro. That was in 2011 with Legend. Now Royal is going to release a Legend of the logo series. Time flies! The hotel is in a great location. I found a delicious Japanese restaurant nearby, seafood soup curry + eel rice + sashimi + oysters + pork rice + fried vegetables. There is also a local supermarket where I bought various Hokkaido local milk yogurt ice creams, which are super delicious.

After the Food Valley Tokachi Marathon, I stretched my legs and went to Kushiro. Although it was a little far from the station, the location was perfect along the river, and the room was nice with a desk and a refrigerator. The bath was a hot spring, with a large open-air bath and sauna, which helped me to relax after the marathon. Breakfast was also a buffet, so I was able to try a little bit of the specialty dishes of Eastern Hokkaido.

The room is very big, upgraded to a deluxe twin room, with two sinks, sofas, simple but not perfunctory breakfast, the types are changed every two days, luggage storage service is provided, but the bathroom is a bit small, with only one pool, there is a massage chair, the overall cost performance is very high

The dormy inn is a bit small and older than the other dormy inns i have stayed before. However, we were surprised to learn that this dormy inn offers iced coffee, oolong teas, and pops during 3-9pm, where normal dormy inns would just offer regular hot coffee and americanos. We were so lucky to be able to watch and experience the sunset on the top floor resting area (where the onsen is also location on). The sunset was stunning (tho the ANA Crowne Plaza blocked some of the view) and it was one of the most beautiful sunset i've ever experienced.
