I never experienced this kind of thing anywhere in China. I travelled with my wife and parents, so I booked two rooms, one for my parents and another for me. At first they gave a room , the room was okay but the bathroom was smelly we asked them to change it and they provided another one . Initially, there were no problems for the room. When my father went to the washroom, the ceiling fell down. Luckily, he was not injured. And from the hole, the drainage water from the upper floors was leaking to our washroom. It was so smelly that we could not even enter the washroom . I immediately asked our receptionist to change the room or fix it and explained the problem, but he didn't even come to our room to check it what he said is all the rooms are full and he cannot change. We explained the situation as requested to change the room. But he didn't change the room, and the only thing he suggested was changing the room the next day, or to vacate the hotel if we cannot stay there. And it was already midnight and the proposal he suggested was to leave the hotel! I don't know why he even didn't bother to check the situation. It was a nightmare for us. We stayed in that messy room for that night, and we vacated the hotel very nect day.
