The rooms and interior is outdated but the service and staff were amazing and made our stay very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for families with young children. There are live cultural shows at the hotel and it was a wonderful experience to get to see real Okinawan dances and traditions.

I had a wonderful stay at the Orion Hotel in Motobu during my trip to Okinawa. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short distance from popular attractions like the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and the beautiful Emerald Beach. The surrounding views of the ocean and lush greenery were breathtaking. The room was spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. I particularly loved the balcony, which offered a stunning view of the sea—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities provided made my stay even more convenient. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and professional. They were always willing to assist, whether it was answering my questions about local attractions or ensuring my room was perfectly prepared. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. One highlight of my stay was the hotel’s breakfast buffet. The variety of local Okinawan dishes and international options was impressive, and everything was fresh and delicious. The outdoor pool and spa facilities were also excellent and added to the overall luxury of the experience. I highly recommend the Orion Hotel Motobu to anyone visiting this part of Okinawa. It’s perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay. I look forward to returning in the future!

Let's talk about transportation first. Take the airport bus at 2:40 and arrive at Onna Station at 3:55 (walk to the domestic arrival gate No. 4, bus stop No. 1). Notify the hotel in advance to pick up at the Onna drop-off point, and arrive at the hotel in 5 minutes. The hotel room is not luxurious, but clean. Choose a few people in the order and prepare a few beds. The sushi buffet opened by the hotel every Tuesday and Thursday is delicious and cost-effective. I also ate a Japanese set meal that is much more expensive and tasted average. The room card in the picture below can be used for free in the hot spring. I don't understand why I can perfectly avoid the following room card with a room fee of 3,000 per night? There are many cute dolphins in the hotel, and there are many activities. It is very noisy at night, with the roar of cars and motorcycles all night, and it is useless to close the door tightly.

The level of service was exceptional - the concierge was extremely helpful, and the housekeeping staff kept my room pristine. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would not hesitate to book with your hotel again in the future. Wonderful hosts.I stayed in the attached two-story townhouse. Upstairs was a roomy bedroom with 3 big-sized single beds. Downstairs had a new bathtub/shower combo in the bathroom. and roomy kitchen had all modern amenities and served as the family room. Great outdoor space for a BBQ or just to relax with some snacks and drinks. Best part was my dog could enjoy being inside and outside with no restrictions. Just be considerate with your pet. (pay pet fee upon check-in ¥1,100) Breakfast was delicious.

The best hotel. The staff were always smiling and very kind and I was able to spend my time with peace of mind. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. The bath and toilet were separate and I was able to spend a pleasant time. It was a pity that the hot water supply in the bath did not work and the hot water could not be stored, but it was possible to store it from the shower, and the children were able to take a bath comfortably. I was happy that the shower head was miraculous. The BBQ on the roof was delicious and fun. On the day of early check-out, I was very grateful for the breakfast being prepared so that I could take out.

Wood Pecker Nakijin is a lovely place. The hotel rooms was converted from old train compartments which made them so special. It was like staying in a real trailer! Free SPA is provided that adds a plus to it. Moreover, the beach is just behind the hotel, it takes only few minutes to walk there. One thing I believe Wood Pecker Nakijin needs to improve is the water temperature for shower. It was unstable during my whole stay there. P.S. Nakijin Castle Ruins is so close to the hotel, it takes only about 10 minutes for driving and within 30 minutes walking distance from Wood Pecker Nakijin. If you stay in Nakijin Village, make sure you go there, It is worth seeing!

Japanese style room is very good choice for my family. Especially my child was satisfied dadami space and indoor-pool. And It was very nice because Churaumi was close and there were many restaurants available nearby. But, It was a shame that many baby-cars in were not prepared and old-facilities. Overall, I was satisfied and if I will visit northern of Okinawa, I will reserve again to this resort.
