"The use of space is great. Although it is small, it has all the necessary features. It has a big bed and is comfortable to sleep on. You can put your suitcase under the bed. It is not far from the bus stop and there are many restaurants nearby.
Breakfast is provided free of charge. Although there are not many options, it is pretty good.
The living environment is hygienic and tidy."
"Clean, Convenient, and Family-Friendly Stay
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. If you're planning to drive, please note that the hotel does not have free parking spaces. However, there are nearby paid parking options just a short walk away, so it's still quite convenient. There’s also a convenience store located right across the street, which is a big plus.
Check-in and check-out are both quick and hassle-free, thanks to the hotel's automated machines. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, and the room was spacious enough for my child to run around comfortably.
One feature I especially appreciated was the in-room washing machine along with a heated drying rack and rail in the bathroom—super handy when traveling with kids and needing to wash their clothes. Nightgowns are also provided, just like at another Fav Lux hotel I stayed at in Nagasaki.
The room is equipped with a full set of kitchen appliances, perfect for light cooking or preparing fruits and snacks."
"efficient check-in/check-out; perfect amenities; good wifi; ideal location for those who plan to travel further on JR; spacious room and city view; sauna, onsen and coffee machine on premises; just a bit narrow choice of English TV channels and no movies available"

"Just a general fast hotel, okay, several tram stops from the station, I couldn't find this one near the station on weekends. The biggest disadvantage is that you can check in at 16:00 in the afternoon, and you have never encountered it before!"
"The whole room is Japanese-style, clean and quiet, suitable for those who want to experience a Japanese-style homestay. The hotel is very convenient to both the jr station and the tram station, and there is no problem in traveling. In addition, the boss and the proprietress are very enthusiastic. We bought lotus root and would not eat it and wanted to ask the boss. The boss directly helped us cook. The breakfast here is also top-notch, and it was made by the boss himself. Recommend everyone to book a room with breakfast. All in all a very pleasant experience."
"Family 6 I was able to spend a relaxing time with ample space to stay with people. The ceiling was high and open, the interior was fashionable, and the children were happy with the loft. I didn't get lost in the location because I was able to enter the parking lot immediately from National Highway 3. 0 Even after the time, there is a traffic sound of the car (3 line is like that), but we were tired of playing and fell asleep, so we didn't mind."
"Overall, I am satisfied, but as the review shows, the heating was only on the 2 floor because of the maisonette type, and the 1 floor remained very cold. I gave up the air conditioner and used only the small fan heater that I had prepared in the room, but it was warmer than using the air conditioner. (in summer, if the air conditioner is not working, it may be tough without a fan.)
The shower head was more troublesome than the air conditioning, and it was not very easy to use in terms of water quantity. I was a little disgusted during my stay, so I went to a hot spring called Yurakusu nearby.
It may have been inconvenient because it was a long stay, but tableware (paper plate, etc.) is prepared only one sheet a day, so it may not be enough to eat three meals. Also, since the trash can bag was not prepared to be replaced, I used the same trash bag all the time. If you are interested, you may want to buy it separately because there are 100 averages nearby."

AAnonymous UserGood location with shopping arcade right next to it! Lots of good shops like Mister Donut, Gindaco. Walking distance to most attractions like Kumamoto Castle and famous ramen. Great variety of self-pick up amenities (toothbrush, cleanser, body sponge, comb, tea, coffee etc.) and special request amenities like hair curler, latex pillow, power bank, shoe dryer and many more! Easy digital self-check-in with staff assistance. Good breakfast variety and clean environment. Luggage storage with front desk is also easy! Parking guidance brochure available. Free cheese grain snack upon check-in. Highly recommend for anyone to stay here!
WWILONLocation of this hotel is good with close distance to nearby shopping malls and Kumamoto Castle.
General cleanliness of the room is good except that the air filter of the inner ventilation system needs “deep” cleaning.
Services of staff are good and I highly recommend for all of you looking for a value-for-money hotel in Kumamoto city centre.
WWing YeeLocation is good, right next to a shopping mall. However, for a four-star, I can’t believe it doesn’t have a safe in the room and water is charged at 100 yen per bottle which is rare to see this in a four-star hotel in japan.
TTannkerHotel is newly renovated. Give a new and upscale look. Location is well located at the bus and train terminal. A big mall with lots of restaurants and shops to dine and shop. Room is small but is good and comfy.
LLohI recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and overall ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
The room was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was pristine, with high-quality toiletries provided.
The hotel's location was convenient, offering easy access to local attractions and transportation.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and outstanding place to stay, this is it. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!
AAaamayGreat location , easy access to public transportation, good shopping mall next door, nice staff, easy check-in and check out … only downside is that they didn’t have enough non-smoking room so I got stuck with a smoking room … not exactly ideal but made the most out of it …
DDenimBlueA lovely little hotel just a few minutes’ walk from the Sakuramachi bus station. Very convenient for getting to the Aso volcano by high speed bus. The station is inside a big mall and you can do most of your shopping there too.
The hotel itself was comfy, and I got to do my laundry there which was ace.
TTraveller CI stayed at this hotel twice. The second time (this booking) we had a room on the older (?) wing and it was almost twice the size of the first one. So for this review I will only share feedback on this “older” room.
This room was big and thus good for us as we had 2 large luggage and more space in the room allowed us to open and pack our luggages with ease.
The bathroom was large with the large traditional bathtub. Toilet had bidet and etc but lacked heating which made it very cold in the winter. Basin tap was still the old turn types which was not eco friendly as it’s more difficult to shut it off.
Location was just opposite the train station which was excellent. But the nearest convenience store is also only at the train station which is about a 5-7mins walk away.
Breakfast was curated to suit the Japanese palette more and ends at 9a.m which is really way too early!!
We left something behind in the hotel but they managed to send the item back to us at our new hotel (still in Japan) which was highly appreciated.
Despite a few minor shortcomings listed above, the pros still outweigh the cons and I’ll definitely be happy to stay here again.
BBao QuocGood location, 2 minute walk to Sakuramachi Bus Station for long distance bus or city bus and also near tram station for city roaming. The kumamoto is easily accessed with a 10 minute walk. The room size and amenities are standard and clean.
GGuest UserI honestly do not know where to start, I booked the hotel without really knowing much about Kumamoto Prefecture. After arriving in Kumamoto City and then realising Ueki Onsen is another 40 minute bus ride I was thinking oh dear where am I staying. After arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the manager of the hotel who showed me to my room and gave me a tour of the facilities. Once settled in I realised there isn't great public transport around and I primarily wanted to see Beppu and Yufuin during my stay, I enquired with the manager on where I might be able to rent a car, with little to no Japanese language under my belt he took it upon himself to reserve a vehicle for me and offered to drive me himself to collect it. He then also said he would take me back to return it a few days later. After my trips to Beppu and Yufui village (Not to be missed) and not to miss the outstanding and beautiful surroundings in Uekimachi and the Aso region. The manager and I set off to return my hire car, on the way back he took me to Kikuchi shrine to pray and also gifted me coffee and cake. They also accommodated me with use of the on site onsen (amazing) after hours as I'm heavily tattooed. I feel truly grateful to have found this hidden gem of rural Japan and if you are thinking of traveling this great country I emplore you to go off the beaten path. I experienced untold kindness during my stay and have memories of a life time. Thank you so much guys
