GGuest UserGood location close to yia airport. I paid for a quick ride to the airport to make it easy. They were ready and waiting when I was ready to go at 5:30 am. Good experience!
HHassan Basri SathikI recently stayed at Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta during a trip, and while the experience had its highlights, there were a few aspects to consider depending on your travel needs.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the airport, making it an ideal choice for travelers with early flights or short layovers. The convenience of being so close to the airport cannot be overstated, especially when you want to avoid the hassle of long commutes. However, its distance from the city center is a drawback. For those planning to explore Yogyakarta’s main attractions, the travel can feel exhausting, especially with traffic.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day. The ambiance of the hotel was quiet and serene, making it suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil getaway. However, the amenities could use some improvement. While the basics were covered, I noticed a lack of certain facilities that are typically expected, such as a fully operational lounge.
During my stay, the lounge was not open, which was a bit disappointing as it limited some of the expected conveniences. The available amenities were functional but felt basic, catering to travelers with minimal needs. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, this might not be the best fit, but for a short, peaceful trip, it does the job well.
The dining options were decent but not remarkable. There was a good variety of dishes, and the quality was satisfactory, though it didn’t particularly stand out.
Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta is a good choice if you prioritize convenience and peace over proximity to the city’s main attractions. It serves as a functional stopover for travelers who value being near the airport and are okay with fewer amenities. While there’s room for improvement in terms of facilities and accessibility to the city, it’s a suitable option for a short and quiet stay.
Would I stay here again? Possibly, but primarily for the convenience of its location near the airport.
JJraDSecond stay, received like a family member! Very good room with the best A/C ever had (LG=Life is Good) soft, silent and super comfortable. Different room, but same side with a view on Airport, +Car to Dep 7 AM.
Really helped me feel like coming again to Yogyakarta!
MMersizi • @mersiskaliewe stayed a night in Ibis Kulon Progo. The location is near new airport but sadly there’s no pool in here, if you want to swim you can swim at Novotel (same building with them) buy a voucher at front desk it costs IDR 50.000 per person.
EEfexWhile there are similar options for staying close to the international Airport in Yogyakarta, Morazen stands head and shoulders above even the bigger names of five star houses. The main reason for this is that the hotel was opened in 2024 and as you would expect has the highest class comfort available in the area. Aimed at short staying guests out 1-night booking (most flights from YIA leave early hours) included an excellent breakfast buffet and shuttle to the nearby airport. Luggage weighing and wrapping are available in the lobby. The rooms are top notch - specifically the mattress was much better than other hotels around - with privacy blinds in the on suite bathroom and a modern smart TV. The pool is rather awkward for real swimmers but offered a good opportunity to relax for us as well as the families with children who seemed to enjoy their time as much as the several flight crew members frequenting the place. We left the next morning feeling refreshed and comforted and Morazen stayed in the back of our minds as a very high yardstick against which we measured other hotels in Indonesia.
YYuli9We were very pleased with our experience. The location was ideal for our morning flight, allowing us to avoid the morning rush from Yogyakarta. Additionally, we appreciated having access to a luggage trolley, which made it easy to transport our bags right to the front door of our room.
Perhaps they could improve on the breakfast menu.
