First impressions Wow,beautiful gardens amazing pools and stunning lobby.On arrival escorted to our garden room on a dark corridor full of Cicada bugs on the floor and ceiling all the way to the room and this was a bad start.Room large but dated.Midway through our holiday a new headboard appeared to try and update the room which was odd.Service at the pool shocking and had to wait 30 minutes for a drink for the waiter to return saying our order was lost.Flies on food and 3 days into the holiday all 4 of us became very ill and still suffering after return.Pools extremely cold and beach full of hard pebbles.Really disappointed.I really could go on and on about other issues but far too many.

The stay was sooo nice. Top service, such nice view, nice staff, greetings to Ernest and Tritan. Good food. Has to try to ala cate, italian food menu is amazing. The shows are also nice, there are many kids here, but coming here in june is perfect. Water polo is also nice, you have to join.

In general, I would thoroughly recommend this resort. I found most things about this hotel to be excellent, the pools, gardens, beach etc everything was very nice and beautifully designed. The room was nice enough but in all honestly the bathrooms could do with some updating, although i will say there were no concerns about cleanliness. The food from the buffet, both breakfast and evening was excellent. I do have a couple of feedback items though- as a half board guest, I found the price and availability of drinks to be very poor. After an amazing reception upon arrival with some very attentive staff, we walked down to the pool bar for a drink and sat for 20 minutes without being offered a drink or menu. I then decided to join the long queue of all inclusive guests at the bar, and paid 24€ for 2 poorly presented cocktails in plastic glasses. I found this to be the standard for the week, waiting a long time for an expensive drink which wasn't very nice. The lowest point was paying 8€ for 2 small glasses of Fanta lemon which didn't even come with ice. I resorted to just taking a large bottle of drink to the pool with me and sipping it throughout the day. The other item of feedback I have is the tendency of guests to reserve sunbeds with towels for hours on end. We saw sun beds sit empty all morning while others wandered around looking for beds. The hotel have signs to discourage this but don't do anything about it. We quickly found that you had to just join in and put your towel down before breakfast or be left with nowhere to sit all day, although we did go straight to the pool, not leave them empty all day.

We are a family of four - our two kids are aged 10 and 7. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have rebooked for August 2026! Most of the time, photos on a website look nothing like the actual place. This hotel is stunning and the staff work really hard to keep it clean and maintained. We stayed in room 214, a poetic family bungalow. This was perfect for us as the kids had separate sleeping quarters. Air conditioning was great. Food on offer was tasty - we did eat at the a la carte restaurants too as included in our all inclusive package. I would rank them 1) Asiana - delicious food, plenty of it and gorgeous views 2) Lobsteria - excellent quality, and again stunning views 3) Financia - we had the hot stone dishes 4) Tavernaki - starters were much better than the mains The sun beds were really comfy. Pools were beautiful although as they are saltwater, my kids didn’t enjoy any of the water going up their noses! Lots of activities choice. My son, Zach, learnt boules and darts and I have to give a special mention to Zakaria in the entertainment team. He was very caring and great at getting people involved. My son was made to feel very special. Kids enjoyed eating freshly made crepes several times a day and the carte d’or ice cream. The beach is very pebbly so we didn’t spend much time there, which was a shame as the views of Turkey were spectacular. There are a couple of sections near the pools with soft sand for building sandcastles though. I did venture out running a couple of times and the road leading to Kos town is nice and flat. We had an absolutely brilliant time and cannot wait to return. Many thanks!

I will start by giving some context, we stayed at the hotel for 10 days as two adult couples on the breakfast only package, not the all inclusive one. First off, as denoted by many uploaded pictures in these reviews, the hotel is visually very attractive. The breakfast was the same each morning but very good. On offer were a variety of cereals, yoghurts, fruits, cold meats, breads and pastries, eggs, bacon, omelettes, fresh pancakes etc. As well as smoothies, juices and teas. And that is sort of where the good ends really. Not enough: there is nowhere near enough staff or facilities for a resort of this size, that claims to be a 5 star experience. In one example, on our first day I went to the ‘food court’ lunch restaurant and stood in the middle of it trying to flag down a member of staff to ask how it all worked and what was on offer / could I see a menu. 20 mins later I ended up standing in a staff area next to a till to get their attention, and was told that they couldn’t tell me what was on offer or show me a menu. We regularly had to wait 25 minutes to get a coffee in the morning with breakfast. In another example, I had to chase 6 times to get towels brought to our room as we didn’t have any - the final time meant I actually went down to reception to ask. In another example I had to wait in the room for 2 hours to have them come and help with a faulty lock, whilst being reassured on five separate occasions that someone would be there ‘in 5 minutes’. I feel bad for saying it, because there were a handful of staff who were genuinely very pleasant and competent but the overwhelming experience with the staff was that there was a real disinterest, and almost arrogance towards guests. It felt like they were doing you a favour. The examples of staffing / facility issues were almost daily and got to a point of laughable. So much so that we regularly found ourselves joking about it with other guests, and hearing other guests joke about it around the pool. We regularly thanked our lucky stars that we did not pay for the extra for all inclusive, which had retrospectively thought about doing and had got a quote for, because for the service on offer and quality of what was available, we would have struggled to sit and accept for 10 days. Food: the food throughout the resort is perfectly tasty but lacks imagination. There are limited healthier options available. The evening buffet was a struggle for our group. We queued for 20 mins and when we got to the front found it to largely be lukewarm slop. To sum up, we sat around the pool with two families a few days before the end of this holiday. One family said they would never go to another Grecotel based on this experience and another one who had been two four in the chain said they would never visit another.

Our holiday at Grecotel was a completely mixed bag - some really good points, but unfortunately some issues that would prevent us from returning unless there was a marked improvement. As a caveat some of these issues could be because it's the start of the season, or because I think the hotel has recently been taken over. GOOD POINTS. 1. It's a beautiful, clean and well maintained hotel 2. The staff we met were all lovely and happy to help 3. The food, generally, is good with a reasonable if repetitive selection 4. There are plenty of pools, a nice private beach, and always seemed to be sufficient sunbeds (although we didn't really investigate as we don't tend to sit around the pool) 5. Having the all inclusive LUXME package meant our granddaughter could have crepes and ice cream whenever she wanted, which she raved about. 6. The mini disco was the same every night, but she enjoyed it. 7. The service from the local car hire company (Hot Bikes) was brilliant. Great choice of vehicles and good prices. We hired a beach buggy for the day which was great fun. 8. It's about 15 minutes to Kos Town - costing 2 euros on the bus that stops outside, or 12 euros in a taxi. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. 1. There are no where near enough staff. I appreciate the hotel saying they are fully staffed, but that simply cannot be true. 2. Regularly we would have to clean a table to find somewhere to sit and eat - something other residents would also have to do. 3. It's completely hit and miss as to the service you get. Sit on the lobby patio and someone will serve you within minutes. Sit in the outside dining area and you can easily wait 15 minutes for someone to come over, and then at least another 15 minutes for your coffee/drinks to arrive. It got to the point where we would joke with neighbouring tables about how long we'd have to wait. A lot of people would just get up and help themselves. Interestingly if you sit inside, the service is much better. 4. The pools are cold, albeit the children's pool (the only non-salt water pool) was slightly better. 5. Whilst the food seems to be high quality, it was regularly luke warm. The food wastage must be a concern for the hotel owners. 6. The "kids club" is very basic and fairly run down, not a scratch on other hotels we've been to (thinking specifically about the superb Hilton Dalaman we visited last year). 7. It's a shame that the TV's in the rooms are tuned only for German channels. We did ask at reception if they could be re-tuned, but were advised they only subscribed to German channels as their main customers are German. Not the end of the world, but our 7 year old would have preferred to have watched the Disney Channel in English in the evenings when getting ready for bed. Also a shame they turn off the ability to screen share with iPhones. 8. Housekeeping was great, and the people doing the cleaning were efficient and friendly. We booked via TUI as we have always had first service and facilities and were not disappointed with Grecohotel Lux.me Kos. When we arrived we were greeted by and looked after very well by Grammatiki. She arranged for us to have an excellent room and gave us a short tour to orientate us. She then booked all our meals in the a la carte restaurant for us. There are 4 and we were entitled to dine in each one,all included,.in our package. There was a Lobster restaurant, an Asian restaurant, a greek one and finally an italian (hot stone included) restaurant. All provided excellent service and quality food. The garden pool was nearby and was clean and well supported by Minos who looked after the poolside bar. He gave us excellent service. The rooms were all clean and tidy.Finally a special thank you to Maria for looking after us at the buffet restaurant. All in all a lovely resort with very friendly staff. My only suggestion for improvement would be for there to be an "adults only" pool, probably the garden pool where it would be quieter. The entertainment was limited to local persons performing for about an hour most evenings but what there was,was perfectly acceptable.

We stayed here from the 14th of may till the 21st of may the hotel staff from reception to restaurant and bar staff were all fantastic.Nothing was to much trouble all lovely very friendly and happy in their jobs.Also a big mention to the entertainment team especially zakaria

We received an excellent, attentive welcome on arrival. The staff at this hotel are mostly friendly & helpful. The hotel grounds & pools were lovely. The room & bathroom were clean but are dated & in need of refurbishment. We used 3 of the ala carte restaurants. They were all good with excellent service. We found the hot food in the buffet restaurant to be either Luke warm or cold. This did improve slightly towards the end of our stay as we know complaints had been made. The food in the snack bar was much the same & generally repetitive. There were a number of occasions when the bars ran out of the drinks we liked & a couple of times when ordering from the waiting staff wrong drinks were served. Having stayed in a 5 star hotel in Rhodes last year, which was less expensive & far superior in comparison, we struggled to understand a 5 star rating for this hotel. Overall we were disappointed as this hotel, considering it's rating & price point, fell a long way short of expectations.

Booked a family holiday to this 5 star resort which you can't actually fault. But after falling at the heated pool and ending up at hospital with a broken wrist. The lies from the hotel staff where absolutely disgusting. We had been told by members of staff how slippery the floor is and that it is due to be changed as there is far to many accidents there. Considering an accident report is supposed to be filled in when it happens it never was as when asked for the report the dates on the hotels were reports where completely wrong. They said accident happened on the day that we weren't even at the hotel as arrived early hours the next day. But to make matters worse they accused me of changing my story as to where the accident happened which is a massive insult as I never lied once. If you ever go the resort make sure you take photos if anything ever happens or else they will call you a liar and get away with it.

What a fabulous holiday. Grecotels are our first choice when booking a holiday to Greece, this year we choose Kos and was not disappointed. Upon arrival we were greeted with a choice of refreshing drinks and then taken to our room which to our surprise and delight was an upgrade!! The most beautiful 2 bedroom suit with a large private pool!! The choice of restaurants is super and the quality of food is fabulous. The service throughout the hotel is first class. One evening we headed into Kos town for dinner. Guest relations made a few recommendations and arranged the taxi, the restaurant was superb!!! We like to try different locations but would most definitely be returning back to the Kos Imperial!

We nervously booked this hotel with the All Incl LUXME package, we normally go B&B or self catering as we enjoy eating out and trying local food but with the variety of A La Cartés and with the intention of trying to relax, we embraced it. I personally feel Greek resorts are rated a star above what they might be in the likes of Spain. Kos Imperial offers a lot; plenty of pools, shingley beach front, and initially a very shiny appearance. Being a little critical, the rooms are a little dated, for a luxury hotel, they didn't seem to offer any quiet spaces (pools) for couples despite there being 4 outdoors. We witnessed other coupled guests on numerous occasions speaking with hotel staff and management complaining about this. Also a 'wine library' is a metaphor, however they do have a great selection, when we asked about this, they provided a wine tasting for us (this was actually very cute), Maria did a great job - very knowledgeable. Asked to use an Iron and was told there was only 1 in the hotel between who knows how many guests, not what you'd expect of a 5 star? LOCATION: The hotel is reasonably well located 45 mins from the airport (more like 1.5 hours on bus transfer), there is very little immediately outside the hotel however bustops right outside which for €2pp get you to Kos town in 15 mins. There's also a car rental company working in the hotel (Kosmos). We hired a car for a day, arguably a little more expensive (€144 mini convertible auto p/d) than some others. However, no hidden extra insurance costs and very convenient. We spent a full day out exploring Kos, down to Kafalos beach for a few hours with other stops enroute, before heading to Zia for sunset and dinner (Oromedion). Zia is approx 35mins from the hotel so felt comfortable offsetting taxi costs in place for the hire car. SPA: We booked a couples treatment at the hotel Spa Elixir, 'Passion Ritual', on offer at €160 p/couple. It was very nice and relaxing however we found it unusual for a hotel to have spa facilities at extra cost of €15pp to use the sauna etc, even after booking a treatment and or going for their best LUXME All.Incl package. FOOD: standard has been pretty impressive, big portions from the A la cartes and plenty available at the buffets (although only had breakfast and lunch, not dinner). Could be more on offer in the A La Cartés, Finisia had 2 set menus (we asked them to pair the wine) I'd give the meal a 7/10 but wouldn't have paid the €90 price attached p/p. Side note, it was nice to be able to get ourselves a crepe or ice-cream by the pool during the day and lovely little chocolate counter in the evenings by the reception area. STAFF: Generally really helpful and polite and many flicked seamlessly between Greek, English, French and German. Overall, the hotel and holiday gave us what we wanted; a week in the sun to relax. Not sure I'd recommend it to couples who would rather an adults only vibe (considering it was family busy even out of season) 7 out of

I am currently sat in Kos Airport having just spent a fabulous week at this hotel. Whilst I agree that the is not a 5 Star Hotel when compared to hotels we have stayed in in the uk(ie intercontinental park lane). That said it doesn’t cost £500 a night.It is by Greek Standards 5 stars and a very good 4 Star. The Hotel and grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. We stayed in room 739 a very spacious room which they class as a bungalow . It was spotlessly cleaned every day and maybe it could do with a little updating, however it was extremely comfortable. We were able to walk from our patio directly to the garden pool which was salt water and heated to a perfect temperature. Sunbeds were easily available every day, however it did get busy from the weekend as I believe it is school half term in Germany. There are several beautiful pools and even a lazy river, but the garden pool was the only one heated and therefore very popular. I realise it is a family resort but would recommend making this a quiet pool for people who just want to swim and relax. The beach was very nice, however I would advise beach shoes because of the pebbles. I didn’t have any., duh. I read an earlier review when someone was complaining about the Restaurant. I didn’t have that experience, I thought the food was varied and of a very good standard. You do have to queue at the restaurant, but this is only if you want to sit outside on the terrace. It seems almost everybody wanted to, we ate outside every day. The restaurant manager did an extremely good job of organising this and we only waited a few minutes for a table. All in all this is a very good hotel and I hope to visit again. Good job Grecotel Kos imperial.
