Hotels near Samui Tailor in Koh Samui

The Weekender Resort is a very nice hotel on the seafront which we really liked. It is well located, in a lively area and close to shops and restaurants. It is very nice to have a small supermarket right in front of the hotel. It is equipped with a superb swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar which directly overlook Lamai Beach. You will also find a gym, a sauna, and private parking. Masseuses are available from morning until evening to give us a massage on the beach. We stayed in the villas with private pools. The room is spacious and clean. Bottles of water are available in the refrigerator every day. It has good bedding, air conditioning and a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. The swimming pool for private use is out of sight. It is pleasant, you can turn on the fountain and the jets for a jacuzzi area. Secure sliding doors open directly onto the hotel swimming pool and then onto the beach. The staff is smiling and very professional, very available, they intervene at the slightest concern, which we really appreciated. We liked being able to rent scooters for our stay directly at the hotel and without paying more. We were able, thanks to this, to go around the island and see everything there was to see and visit, it was great! The only downside: the treadmill broke down throughout our stay and the quality of the breakfast needs to be improved even if the pastries are excellent! There are too few choices and all the more so if you don't eat meat...Too bad! It is not the image of the hotel and the smiling and invested staff who work there! We will definitely come back anyway! Great location. We walked along the beach, this section is the best. The staff is responsive. Breakfast overlooking the sea is amazing. Plus it's pretty tasty. The mattress was tired, but the pillows were excellent. The pool is clean and good. Upon request, they brought a second blanket. The downsides are a tired mattress and a shower that flooded the entire floor in the bathroom. Just the whole thing. But the view from the window covered this minus. We asked for a floor other than the first floor and it was given to us. The bungalow did not seem very comfortable, but our room with a sea view was beautiful. Ready to return to this hotel. The pharmacy just around the corner is expensive, go a little further to the left. The pizza is delicious at the night market near the river on the right about 5 minutes.

I don’t often write reviews, but always use them to make choices when looking to stay here. I booked this hotel to stay at for my son’s 10th birthday in January 2024. The room I booked was no refundable, but having read reviews I was happy to take the risk. 2 hours before we were due to travel there we received an email to say that their pool was closed due to unplanned renovations. Let’s be honest, this is the hotels only real selling point and the whole reason I booked it in the first place. Disappointed, we had no choice but to travel to the hotel to discuss things with their team in person. Arriving at the hotel it was a mess, almost looked derelict. Whoever took their hotel photos needs a pay rise, put it that way. It was clear that the work wasn’t unplanned, and in fact had been going on for some time. Letting guests know on the day they travel is obviously a ploy to prevent confrontation. We were told that we had the use of a pool at their sister hotel, 15 minutes away by shuttle. This runs every 2/3 hours. Not the fairy tail birthday I had in mind for my son if I’m honest. To compound things, the hotel refused to refund me my money and I had to pay again to stay at a hotel that was able to provide the facilities it promised. Looking back at the hotel, there were clear signs. They haven’t had a positive review since 2021, that tells its own story. If you are thinking of staying here, please don’t. Good place to stay in the heart of lamai yet set in peaceful surroundings near to the beach. We stayed in the older part of the hotel in a pool access room with a balcony. The design of room is quite dated in dark wood but it is clean with daily maid service. The bathroom has a good shower and toilet. Air conditioning was good and due to the fact that the Thai style bed was a little hard they put a mattress topper on for us. Breakfast was good with a decent selection of cereals, salads, eggs made to order, Thai dishes and selection of cakes. There are 2 pools to choose from as one is situated by the new build so it was never too busy and sun beds were readily available. This is our second stay here and we would definitely return.

Excellent hotel, all surrounded by greenery. The beach is equipped with a sufficient number of sun loungers, and the sea is equipped with a jellyfish net. The area is constantly cleaned. The service is excellent. The monotonous breakfasts get a little boring, however, only here we saw that they serve mangoes and mangosteens for breakfast.

We vacationed with our family in May 2023. Everything is great. Excellent rooms, service, excellent breakfasts. We lived in two rooms: Garden Villa and standard. Great pool. Excellent sea, the entrance is not too shallow and not too deep. The hotel's location is in the very center of the Lamai beach coastline with many restaurants and massage centers. BUT!!! I again booked and paid for two rooms for 2024 through trip.com. After that, I emailed the hotel to confirm that they had received the payment and were seeing these 2 reservations. There is still no answer. If hotel representatives see this review, please contact me immediately by email (if the hotel’s email is temporarily out of order, please write to me from your personal email).

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we received the best service and assistance. The room was very big and spacious with big windows for lots of natural sunlight. The resort is right on the beautiful Lamai beach with sun loungers to chill and enjoy a drink. The area is very peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The resort has a massive swimming pool and a beautiful dining area outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort!

The rooms inside are old-fashioned as if grandmother had a daddy. But - super location in a quiet alley and 2 minutes to the center. There is all necessary - a refrigerator, air conditioner, TV, a table where you can put a laptop, which is just super for this money. Hot water, shampoo, soap, all there is.

Really large comfy bed with fresh clean linen and two night lamps with switches by the bed. Tv with English speaking channels, aircon, fridge and safe. Nice hot shower, large wardrobe with hairdryer if you need it. Only small minor downside was no power sockets to charge by the bed. Couple of bottles of water provided daily by the cleaning team who were very lovely. Greeted at checkin, shown to my room and given lots of helpful tips and recommendations for the area. I found it a bit tricky to locate using Google maps but very simple once you know - follow the side road next to McDonald’s and follow it round past the coconut resort and yellow slide :)

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.
