Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa

Lamai Beach Koh Samui|2.42km from Samui Tailor
My recent three-night stay at the Renaissance Koh Samui was an enchanting journey, filled with an exceptional level of service that beautifully compensated for the hotel's aging facilities. From the outset, the resort's fusion of Asian and Thai architectural elegance warmly welcomed us, accentuated by the delicate blend of styles and the presence of wood-clad interior columns, real wood floors and furniture. This seamless integration of tradition and geographical context, with brick and tropical roof tiles, created a captivating atmosphere. The lush foliage and well-grown trees embraced the surroundings, creating a vivid backdrop that captured the essence of the beachfront location. While time had etched its marks on the facility, the fusion of architectural styles and natural elements into the design remained a captivating feature. Our overall experience was outstanding, even as we encountered a few unforeseen challenges. On our second night, our beachfront BBQ plans were thwarted by the weather. The staff's quick thinking and adaptability came to the forefront as they seamlessly transitioned the venue to an indoor space. The speed and willingness with which the entire BBQ setup was moved indoors showcased the dedication to providing the best service possible. Moreover, on our third night, the pool bar staff went above and beyond by suggesting a private beachfront dinner to make up for the previous night's interruption. Though this well-intentioned plan was again impacted by the weather, their commitment to ensuring our satisfaction remained unwavering. What truly set this experience apart was the unwavering dedication of the staff. Their warmth and attentiveness overshadowed any inconveniences we faced. The restaurant and bar team, led by K. Woody, Honey, and Ken, consistently exceeded our expectations. Their personalized service made us feel genuinely valued as guests. The culinary journey, particularly the breakfast led by Executive Chef Chef Seng, was a delight. Despite the aging signs of the facilities, the culinary offerings maintained an impeccable standard. The coconut water coffee, and Samui Egg Benedict were exceptional, showcasing Chef Seng's expertise in curating a blend of local and international flavors. In summary, my stay at the Renaissance Koh Samui was a testament to the power of exceptional service to transcend the limitations of aging facilities. The resort's captivating fusion of architectural styles, the embracing of its environment, and the staff's dedication created a memorable retreat. The team's responsiveness, especially during weather-related interruptions, demonstrated their commitment to guest satisfaction. As I reflect on my stay, it is clear that the warmth of hospitality and the genuine care extended by the team are what truly define the Renaissance Koh Samui.

Weekender Resort

Lamai Beach Koh Samui|0.03km from Samui Tailor
The Weekender Resort is a very nice hotel on the seafront which we really liked. It is well located, in a lively area and close to shops and restaurants. It is very nice to have a small supermarket right in front of the hotel. It is equipped with a superb swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar which directly overlook Lamai Beach. You will also find a gym, a sauna, and private parking. Masseuses are available from morning until evening to give us a massage on the beach. We stayed in the villas with private pools. The room is spacious and clean. Bottles of water are available in the refrigerator every day. It has good bedding, air conditioning and a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. The swimming pool for private use is out of sight. It is pleasant, you can turn on the fountain and the jets for a jacuzzi area. Secure sliding doors open directly onto the hotel swimming pool and then onto the beach. The staff is smiling and very professional, very available, they intervene at the slightest concern, which we really appreciated. We liked being able to rent scooters for our stay directly at the hotel and without paying more. We were able, thanks to this, to go around the island and see everything there was to see and visit, it was great! The only downside: the treadmill broke down throughout our stay and the quality of the breakfast needs to be improved even if the pastries are excellent! There are too few choices and all the more so if you don't eat meat...Too bad! It is not the image of the hotel and the smiling and invested staff who work there! We will definitely come back anyway! Thank you for everything, we had a pleasant stay!

Me and 3 other friends stayed here in January 2023. We all cannot speak highly enough of this hotel as from the owners to location, everything was great! Please be advised that as this property is near the main nightlife area of Lamai, it may become noisy on some nights should there be any special occasions events happening. The beach is a few minute walk from your room with all major restaurants also nearby. 100% recommend!

Exellent budget hotel near Lamai beach. About 4-5 min walk to beach (restaurant Bamboo - for exellent cheap food) and SIWA bar (for swimming and chill). Hotel is in a heart of Lamai, but very queit plane. Hotel is old but is awesome clean. Owners is extremly kind, helpfull and nice. Good size of the room. Good AC. Our room was with terrace. I highly recommend this hotel. Price is low, about 25 euro per night per two people (best location and beach on few minutes)

The rooms inside are old-fashioned as if grandmother had a daddy. But - super location in a quiet alley and 2 minutes to the center. There is all necessary - a refrigerator, air conditioner, TV, a table where you can put a laptop, which is just super for this money. Hot water, shampoo, soap, all there is.

I am so in love with this place as my new go to budget Samu I layover for the airport, Kenai Beach, and ferry ports. The staff are amazing and really looked out after me when I left my phone behind recently. The attached Bistro is a wonderful place to relax, ear, and even Tele ~commute as they fast Wi-Fi. I have stayed up and down Kenai Beach the last 12 years or so and when it comes to value for your money and location, this is the place for me!
