Great location on the beach front, plus in the party area of Koh Sumai. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants, and bars. Many small shops for shopping, for clothes, bags, swimwear and much more, mainly set up for the happy tourists. Again, it is close to a shopping mall, with quite a few high-end retailers. The hotel is older but in reasonable condition. Our room was comfortable, clean. The bedding was ok, clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site was on the beach front, along with the pool. The food at the restaurant was quite good, with a good variety. The pool is dated but a popular spot for the guests. Our room had one problem, and that was a funky smell in the bathroom. It was quite overwhelming at times. The shower pressure was ok. The WiFi was ok. Staff were very helpful when needed. Bonus is able to rent motor scooters through the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Not recommended if you are light sleeper with music bouncing till morning 5am outside the street. Hotel is old and poorly maintained... shower rack at shower area drop off at Check-in...no lift if you are having big luggage to higher level...carpark lot limited and cramp.

The swimming oool is murky. The pump is not working and the water is stagnant, possible health hazard. Please take action thank you

Montien House was in a great location. Busy street but nicely tucked out of the way for quiet times. Lots of bars and restaurants around. Our room was bright and roomy. The restaurant was good although only ate there once. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would go back again if in that area. The only negative was the pool it was very cloudy after a few days. But the beach is right there so swam in the sea. Lots of room choices. We stayed in the cheapest room in the main building and it was fine.

This is my 3rd time staying in this hotel. Super convenient location with many entertainment around the hotel. The garden view villa is a little bit dated but everything is functioning well.

Reasonable price. The location is fine, near shops. The facility is fine. I hope this place would be renovated soon.

Good location and close to everything.

I really appreciate that the hotel let us check in early and without any extra charge. The front desk was really nice and we enjoyed staying at the hotel. The hotel was close to the beach and it was easy to walk to the 7-11 and the shopping mall.

We stayed in main building got changed to balcony room as we like sitting out in sun, staff were brilliant location great, enjoyed breakfast overlooking beach had a choice of going in pool or swim in beach, just a shot walk to pubs bars and restaurants

I would definitely stay here again. The cottages are a little old but they are nice and it is great to be so close to the pool and beach area. Breakfast was pretty good. There was an adequate selection. The resort is close to the nightlife but you cannot hear any music from the bars in the evening. It is located at the end of a small road off Chaweng Road.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The location is prime, it’s right near restaurants and bars on the main road. The reception is in the back of the hotel which was a bit weird and the hotel is clearly getting old. The rooms looked an bit sketchy but the water pressure in the shower was a highlight.
