Very helpful staff… they were able to help me arrange for hassle free transportation… amnesties in the bathroom were a bit rundown but it seems to be the norm here on the island

We booked a seaview bungalow for 5 nights, and wow what a seaview it was from Bungalow 2 which is raised slightly and right on the beachfront. Lovely balcony with chairs and a table or you can just lie in bed and look at the sea or watch the amazing sunsets. Just note there are a lot of steps down to this bungalow so not suitable for young children, pushchairs or those who are unsteady on their feet. The resort is very non commercial and has a very laid back vibe with a rustic feel, but has all the comforts you need plus little extras. The a la carte breakfast is served until 5pm so great for long lie-ins and they will bring meals or drinks to your room at no extra charge. We had some lovely evening meals in the restaurant too. The pool though not huge is lovely with great views. A few more sunbeds would be good. The motorbike hire directly outside was really useful. The staff are amazing and the resident cats are as welcoming! We loved everything about our stay. Request Room 2 you will not be disappointed.

If I could give Zama Resort 10 stars out of 5 I would. Just the most perfect idyllic little coastal resort with stunning views, the kindest most welcoming staff- and the rooms, just wow. It’s really the small touches that count, fruit on arrival, the softest towels, diffuser, insect repellant etc- all makes a tired traveller relax and settle in. We stayed here as a couple for 3 x nights at the end of our 2 week trip to Thailand visiting the west coast and diving in koh tao, and Zama resort was the best place we stayed by far. 10 stars- please keep what you’re doing Zama, we’ll be back!

The staff was Beyond Amazing. There are not enough words that exist to say enough about how amazing the staff is. They are all so very helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome at the property. I would recommend this place a hundred times based on this, alone! The location at not bad, just every so slightly out of reach of things if you don't have a bike to get around. The ambience of the pool and the lounge/dining area is very cozy and quite a lovely atmosphere. The view of the sunset over the gulf is unbeatable! The bungalows are comfy, but a little rough around the edges. Still acceptable though. The local kitties will come and visit you on your lanai nightly to keep you make sure you are not lonely ☺️. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you, again, so much to the staff. You really make this place very special!

What an amazing experience! A great team who went above and beyond; nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful view and a beautiful place. We stayed in a bungalow right by the sea; waking up with this view is just extraordinary. Many thanks to all for these so nice moments.

Excellent customer service was the best we experienced during our Thailand holiday the whole 3 weeks we were travelling . The grounds men then house keeping waiters /waitress reception . Fantastic the team could not look after u anymore if they tried !!!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Zama. First of all the staff were excellent - welcoming and helpful. The girl at the reception specifically was wonderful and catered for all our needs. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Not new and needs some touchup but really ok for the price. All rooms are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The view from the room was exceptional. You should note that that depending on the room's location, there could be a lot of stairs. The hotel's restaurant was also very good. Do try it. The hotel is a bit far from everything so you will probably need some transportation. We got help from the receptionist renting bikes and it was great. Great beaches located a short motorbike ride from the hotel. We really recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Zama Resort! It is a beautiful resort with great breakfast and food and a nice pool to relax. When we left something important in the hotel room after leaving the island, the owner of the hotel went out of her way to contact me and discuss how to best deliver it to me. I am very thankful for that and would like to highlight the friendly and familiar atmosphere.

This resort was perfect. The location was great, right on the beach. The staff were incredible. Their attention to detail was amazing and they were always one step ahead of us with anything we needed. Would highly recommend eating at the restaurant too. The food is delicious and service amazing. I regret I did not her her name, but the woman on the front desk was truly amazing.

We stayed 9 days at Zama resort and we stayed in the sea view room. The room is super quiet, right on the sea and you have an amazing view of the sunset right from your terrace. The breakfast is served all day and what you want is prepared at the moment! The service is outstanding, everything is thought of! (They provide beach towels, mosquito spry and coil, bike rental service through a neighbour company at 200BHT a day, taxi service...) For cat lovers: they have two sweet cats always up for cuddles and play!

Fab views and lovely breakfast. Staff nice and friendly as always. The room was nice and quiet with an amazing sea view. The breakfast was really nice too. It was a shine we only stayed here for one night as we would have loved to stay longer. Very dark at night so bring a torch

I've given 4 stars as I feel the resort could benefit from a little upgrade here & there and because of the endless number of steps! We booked a sea view room, it was down, I don't know how many steps, uneven, rocky steps, then up, then down!! Nowhere mentioned the steps, not the website or bookings.com. it really should be highlighted. If you have any issue with steps, you will struggle. I appreciate it is on a cliff, I assumed the room would be at the top, not the bottom!! The room had a big balcony, table and chairs, lovely view. The room was a good size, but it was quite dated. The bathroom was more a wet room with a hand-held shower head. It should be better for the price. I also feel the room is the wrong way round! The view from the bed overlooks another room, yet the view from the dressing table overlooks the sea!! The bar / restaurant is very good. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails! We ate twice for dinner, the first night was lovely but unfortunately the last night was not as good. I think management wasn't around that night. Breakfast was fantastic and amazingly, served until 5 pm!! Cheese & Bacon Croissants...!!! Big choice, big portions!! Breakfast ends at 5 pm. Happy Hour starts at 5 pm!! The staff are all very, very friendly, helpful and just lovely!! The swimming pool is very nice too. The swim up bar wasn't open, which was a shame. On the whole, we very much enjoyed our stay. It's a nice relaxing hotel, walking distance to other restaurants and secret beach is a 7 minute walk away - up & down a mega hill!
