So we spent 2 weeks here as an extended family of 9 (inc a 12 mth old baby). I had emailed the hotel prior to arrival with some requests as in the room the baby travel cot needed to be in, one of the rooms needed twin beds (opposed to double) & extra pillows in one of the rooms due to a back condition. We recieved an email back to confirm this had been noted. We had 4 rooms overall : 1 seaview, 2 side seaviews & 1 mountain view room (they did not have 4 seaview rooms available to book at the time we booked (Oct last year!) We arrived at the hotel around 1am & we were met with warm cookies which was a nice touch & then shown to our rooms. None of the room requests had been carried out, the travel cot was in the wrong room, the twin beds were not given to the correct people, the extra pillows were not in my room as requested. Bearing in mind this was 1am, we had a 12month old with no cot to sleep in but anyway within about 1 hour it was all sorted. Bearing in mind this is a 5 star hotel it's not really what I expected. We had been given the mountain view room & the pictures attached show my room view. We were in room 201, so second floor & the very last room along the corridor (so 101, 301 401 will be exactly the same view). For a room that cost £4000 this is NOT what I was expecting overlooking the generator (noisy), a dumping ground for broken sunbeds & a general dirt road. I wonder why this view is not shown on the hotels information details? My husband & I asked if we could be given an alternative room but the only room available was a deluxe room which they offered us at a discount of 40% of £540 but considering we'd already paid £4000 I thought this was a step too far so we decided to just make the most of it & stay where we were. It turned out that when we had the aircon on which was all the time, we could hear no noise from the outside & it turned out that the other 3 rooms we had were quite noisy at night time with the hotel entertainment (until midnight or so). However, once the holiday got started the next day we were really happy. The area around the pool is good, there was always sunbeds to be had & there were always spare beds on the pier (wether that would be the same in peak season I don't know). The cabanas down one side of the pool were just THE BEST for our 12 month old, it was shaded, cool, plenty of space for her to crawl around & play safely. The shallow parts of the pool & the loungers in the pool were just amazing & so perfect for her to splash in safely, 10/10. We didn't use the beach area as the beach is just stones/pebbles which is uncomfy on the feet, but the pier area is lovely. The food, snacks & drinks available all day were just the best, so much choice to be had, the food shacks that most people talk about at lunchtimes were amazing, the availability of cold drinks all day was amazing & the lads on roller skates were buzzing about all day serving them straight to your lounger as well as icelollies, bubble drinks &
