Perfect from start to finish. The welcome from our hosts gave us a sense of peace when we arrived and the view was probably the best in the world .... With a sunset to match. Assos is a quiet, elegant place to visit with everything you need within walking distance. Beautiful swimming in the harbour and a magnificent walk uphill to the fortress, which also had incredible views. The apartment itself was super clean, simply and effectively appointed, with comfy beds, a coffee machine and the most magnificent home cooked breakfasts delivered to your apartment/cottage. The small pool was perfect for cooling off with the most amazing views. We cannot understate how fabulous the views and sunsets really were. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Just the best in Assos! 2nd time here and in the same apartment. This says something....as we never go back to the same place. Gerasimos and Joanne took over from his mum and dad. You can see and appreciate the small updates made ( not that there was anything bad about it in the 1st place!). Being served breakfast each morning on the balcony , just is the best start to the day. We will be back!!!

Everything about Kanakis Apartments is beautiful...the hosts, the accommodation, the breakfast and the views. A lot of our time was spent, sitting on our terrace, taking in the unobstructed, panoramic views. Absolutely stunning. And it was so very peaceful. We loved every minute!

Our second visit at Kanakis was as exceptional as the first time. After loving our stay the first time around, we chose Kanakis to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with a private dinner prepared by the hosts. From the warm welcome, to the cleanliness of the room to the stunning views, everything was just perfect. The breakfast on our private balcony was the highlight of each day and we wished we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend as the service and hospitality was ten star! Thank you Gerassimos and Ioanna, we will see you again next year!

Just wonderful. We stayed with our family, taking up 4 rooms for 4 nights , and could not fault our stay. Hospitality, service, housekeeping, breakfasts, pool, … everything was excellent. Not to mention our exceptional in house gourmet dinner. Our hosts provided such a warm and inviting experience. Thankyou so much. We wish that we could have stayed longer. Asos is a lovely town. Not too busy but with plenty to do - walks, day trips , restaurants, … Wayne, Kylie and Family

If perfect views, hosts & a stunning location is what you are looking for then look no further. Our hosts Gerasimos and Ioanna are perfect and, being stellar chefs, you are treated to the most amazing breakfast every morning with eggs, salad, yoghurt, fruit salad, bread, cake & the menu changes slightly each day. If you want something extra special you can have a fish or meat feast served on your terrace, so many courses & cooked to perfection, a great way of trying traditional Kefalonian dishes.. worth every penny. The apartments are spotless and have everything you need to self cater. Assos itself is as picturesque as the many images you see on the internet. Small pebbly beach but enough sun beds to cater to the sun seekers. There’s 5 tavernas (although we only made it to 3) and a fabulous bakery. The Venetian castle is worth the climb but do not attempt in the midday heat. All in all I’d like to say please stay away as I now want to keep it to myself!!

Last day at these wonderful apartments, the best we've stay in for comfort , views and hospitality The hosts are , just like mum before, wonderful warm human beings. Breakfast unbelievably good.cannot speak highly enough of Kanakis , and Assos .north Kefalonia is and always will be our heaven on earth

Our visit in Assos was great, even at the end of the touristic period, mainly because of the excellent accommodation experience. Our room was luxury, spacious, decorated with taste and fully equipped. The sea view was breathtaking. On top of those the hospitality of the hosts and the amazing breakfast that prepared and served every morning in our room made our staying memorable. Thank you Gerasimos & Ioanna for those amazing 4 days. Highly recommend! 👍

Our stay at Kanakas Apartments in Asos was outstanding in every way. Our Ionian Sea view apartment was beautifully decorated and appointed with great attention to detail. Joanna and Gerasimos are extraordinary hosts and culinary geniuses. The breakfasts were the best we have ever eaten in our 56 years of traveling. Everything was fresh, and the scrambled eggs were divine: creamy, smooth, and melt-in-your-mouth . We were lucky enough to experience the full range of their culinary skills one evening when our group was treated to a seven-course Kefalonian Feast which they prepared with just a few hours notice. We dined on the lovely terrace with sea views and experienced course after course of the most flavorful dishes. We were sated when Gerosimos presented us with the main course on a platter almost the size of the table brimming with incredibly tender goat meat and a variety of vegetables from their garden. I wish we had stayed there longer than two nights.
