"Had a lovely short stay here with my daughter. Super convenient as close to airport and I didn’t want to drive, had wonderful suite with our own pool, beach 5 mins walk away, supermarket approx 8 mins walk. Argostoli about 15 mins in taxi if you want to visit to spot the turtles and do some shopping. Had half board and the staff looked after us so well as my daughter has some intolerances. Also had a couple of treatments at the spa which was a lovely and much needed treat. Yes it is close to the runway but to be honest didn’t bother us at all, seems we have turned into involuntary plane spotters. Hope the Jet2 flight that had to go around managed to land safely!!! Already missing our pool - but huge thanks to all the hard working staff who made it a special stay."

"Stayed in July after a problem.with our original booked hotel. Overall really enjoyed our 2 weeks here. Pros Super comfy sunbeds and always some available. Pool was lovely and very clean View from room was fabulous Room while basic was large and clean Most staff were lovely and very helpful. Cons Bar prices every expensive While we didn't sample the breakfast. It looked very expensive at 15 euros for what was on offer. Hotel just 2 minutes walk away were charging 8 euro for a full delicious breakfast. The hill. Wow!! that was some hill. The biggest issue we found was the extremely rude member of staff who we were told was the manager. You won't get the the friendly Greek welcome and hospitality that we found from the rest of the staff and in the resort from this person."

"My wife & I planned to stay @ the Oliemare for a week in June of this year 2024, but unfortunately it was fully booked being only 5 rooms. We eventually got booked up at the Hotel Pacifae just up the road which has been fantastic and we definitely would stay again. While we were there, we took a stroll down to the Oliemare one night to introduce ourselves and have a look around. Unfortunately, we were met by a very VERY! rude ageing ponytailed hippy that wasn't interested in engaging with us at all, and made me and my wife feel very awkward & unwelcoming, even though we were enquiring about booking to stay there next time we are in Kefalonia. So with Mr Ponytail being so cold-hearted and rude we decided to leave and NEVER! return. And to tell all our friends on our return home, that are waiting to hear what our thoughts are after visiting the Oliemare, NOT to bother as there are plenty of other lovely inviting hotels & hosts to stay in Katelios. Especially the Pacifae Hotel."

"We were the first guests at this hotel, and spent 10days here we stayed in the swim up sea front room, ( we highly recommend this room to stay) by far the nicest room we have stayed in, it had stunning views which had the sun until late evening , we had the warmest welcome by all the staff, they couldn’t have done more for us, we really enjoyed our stay here it was the perfect chill out location, the hotel was walking distance to a few good restaurants, I would highly recommend renting a car for a few days of your trip too if you like a adventure thanks to everyone at the hotel for our great experience."

"We really loved the place overall. The room was big, clean, spacious and new, and the pool was amazing. We stayed for 11 days and after a while we did get a bit tired of the same meals being served. One thing to note is that the terrace was only cleaned if we specifically asked for it. If we did not ask, it was not done. It would also have been great if the cleaning staff could leave fresh pool towels in the room every day. Instead, we had to bring the used ones to reception and exchange them ourselves daily. All the staff were great, with one exception. The woman at breakfast who was taking omelet orders was very rude and unprofessional, constantly shouting at poor Panagiotis and acting bossy towards him. It is clear she is not suited for the job, and her behavior created a negative impression in an otherwise friendly environment. Lastly, a tip for travelers. I and some other guests got bitten by wasps. It is not the hotel’s fault, but in Greece they are everywhere day and night, so it is good to be prepared. Despite these small issues, we would still recommend the place for its beautiful rooms, great pool and overall lovely atmosphere."

"Hotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way."
