Tlou Safari Lodge ★★★

"This lodge is relatively new, and consists of multiple separate units, some with single bedrooms and some with two beds/baths. It is relatively new and all units I saw are in good condition and were very clean; housekeeping staff were thorough. There is a small swimming pool and a restaurant. Staff are uniformly friendly and helpful, and there is an elevated wildlife deck looking out over the Chobe River. We were quite comfortable in the large double-bed room in one of the larger units. The restaurant is fine for breakfast and lunch but selection for dinner was very limited and we went out to eat after two or three dinners there. We did arrange a game drive through Chobe Nat Park through the lodge and we had a great time. Overall, I recommend this lodge, which is about ten minutes from the Chobe Park and just outside Kasane."

Kwalape Safari Lodge ★★

"The best thing about Kwalape is the 15 minute proximity to the park and the river. Its in a lovely location with lots of birds and the rooms are ok. Food is buffet and is just ok. Our first night we ate outside which was much nicer than indoor on the second. A local African dance and music troupe put on an amazing, fabulous show for everyone on the second night."

"The rooms are comfortable and practical but could use a mini fridge. The restaurant is the same as most in this part of Africa . Food tends to be served luke warm as opposed to hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and stay again."

"We lived the Chobe River Lodge! We had riverfront rooms that were large and nicely furnished! We enjoyed the chairs outside our room overlooking the river. The food was wonderful and the service was great! We enjoyed the river cruise our first night but loved our drives into the Chobe National Park! Our guide, BK was excellent, and helped us check off our bucket list of animal sightings!"
