This is a gorgeous boutique hotel on the outskirts of Kandy. The room was large and comfortable, with one of the best bathrooms we have ever seen - double washbasins and a superb shower. The reception area and dining room are very attractive, and you can also opt to eat on the balconies. We had an absolutely superb Sri Lankan dinner, and the breakfast was also delicious. There's a small pool with sun loungers which was very welcome after a day's travelling. The hotel team are extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Excellent service and delicious food at this establishment. It’s quietly located but only a 10 minute tuktuk ride from the centre of Kandy. We found the room and bedding a little too hot for us even with the A/C operating although this is probably related to our age! .If we had stayed for more than one night I would have asked for a sheet instead of the duvet for the bed. It was also the only property out of six that we stayed in during our Sri Lanka tour that provided single use plastic bottled water rather than hotel filtered water in the rooms.

A wonderful place to stay. Food was wonderful. We had butter chicken. And BLT and Tuna sandwiches for snacks. Food is of a great standard and huge portion. Breakfast fruit is great. And we had omelette and English breakfast. Plus toast and jam. You don't leave the table still hungry.

What a lovely way to end our trip to Sri Lanka. This hotel is a converted house and retains a cosy, homely feel. Danushka was really welcoming and couldn’t have done more to help us. We had a delicious evening meal, which was one of the best of our entire trip. We only stayed one night but were very happy that we chose to stay at Clove Villa.

One of the best hotel experiences ever. The management is just great and wants you to really feel at home. Gorgeous tetrest from the bustling noise of the city. Grest food prepsred especially for you with passion and dedication. Very small but very intimate. A great place to stay, when visiting Kandy.

Lovely boutique hotel made even more special by the people who work here! A warm greeting when we arrived, with towels and juice before being shown to our room. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, an excellent en-suite shower room and a balcony with a view over the pool. The downstairs lounge and breakfast area were also spacious and lovely. Dinner was served outside on a balcony overlooking the front. Dinners were lovely Sri Lankan curries, and Umesh’ grandma’s aubergine curry was particularly wonderful. The portions were very big, too big for us if I am honest, but delicious. Breakfasts were also lovely, fresh fruit and honey curd followed by choice of eggs with bacon and sausage if wanted. Clove Villa is very peaceful, and it was lovely to wake up to the sounds of birds. It is well-placed to visit the relic of the tooth temple, Kandy market, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Special thanks to Danushka and Umesh who were so friendly, helpful and really made our short stay very special.

We stayed here last week and found it to be extremely comfortable-lovely room , great shower ,amazing service from all the staff and excellent food into the bargain.We had a very busy schedule while in Kandy with so much to see so I was sorry not to be able to spend more time relaxing here but we really enjoyed our stay

Only one night here which is a shame as it’s a wonderful oasis in Kandy. Delightful swimming pool. Top class service. The room was beautifully furnished and reall comfortable. Clean, modern , spacious bathroom Many thanks for a great experience David and Ann UK

We can't hesitate to recommend this charming hotel with its lovely staff, cute pool and tasty cuisine. Dinner on the terrace is very pleasant. All very clean. Not so far to the center by tuktuk. The bed is so comfortable that it's hard to get out of bed. Go for it!
